Racism Has Declined Under Trump

White House Dossier
by Keith Koffler
Posted on May 24, 2019, 3:36 pm

[Too short to excerpt]

Thatís right. Itís according to a scientific study.

And the Washington Post for forced to report it:

Racial prejudice has not increased among white Americans since the explosive 2016 election, argues political scientist Daniel J. Hopkins. It has actually decreased by some measures, he found, possibly as a reaction to Trumpís unexpected ascension to the White House.

Hopkins told The Washington Post that the results initially surprised him. Upon reflection, however, ďitís quite conceivable that Trump has simultaneously galvanized a small number of highly prejudiced white Americans while also pushing millions more to affirm that they are not as prejudiced,Ē he argued.

In other words, Hopkins believes the study provides evidence that the racially incendiary rhetoric and policies issuing from Trumpís White House have pushed the majority of Americans in the opposite direction.

The specialist in race and political behavior acknowledged that his findings speak only to professed bias and not to concrete behavior, such as whether Americans are moving into heterogeneous neighborhoods.

Of course, the Post spins this many ways. But the statistics do not lie, even if some find the disappointing.

My problem with the study is that assumes the usual position: that whites are the ones who are the racists to be watched, that there is no racism within the black, hispanic, or Hawaiian ethnicities.

I bet itís stuff like ďracist border policiesĒ.

These people actually think that trying to stop illegal immigration is racist. (Itís many other things to them too, except that itís not wrong to them.)

No doubt. Another example would be "sh*thole countries", which obviously refers to bad government making bad choices and bad policies, driving their economies to ruin, etc. It clearly had nothing whatsoever to do with the race/ethnicity/color/whatever of the country's citizens, but that's the way the leftists tried to spin it.

Well it's true we have no actual proof Trump ever said any such thing, only Durban's word. And it's also true I wouldn't trust Durban any farther than I could throw his overblown ego. But on the unsubstantiated presumption Trump really said it, my point stands: It still wouldn't represent a "racist" comment.

Exactly what I was thinking.

<censored> hole countries is not racist. It is a commentary on the governance and culture of a place. Some of them are <censored> holes and that term is in common use in both DOD and DOS.

That is just one example.

The first thing I thought of when I posted this was Obama's peculiar talent at stoking racial tensions. Nobody did it better. :P

Yup, exactly.

And again, exactly. Nobody could out-racist Obama. When I think of all the long, slow advances we'd made toward racial unity, and how quickly, easily, and casually that b@st@rd Obama destroyed them, it makes my blood boil.

Bingo! Evil whites like me MUST be racist simply by virtue that I am white. No other reason is needed. Oh wait, I no longer need to be racist because racism has declined under Trump. Huh? For a study to be even handed and accurate, it needs to look at all sides of an issue. There's still plenty of racism out there, as we are reminded every time we hear the term "white privilege", every time a Jussie Smollet is let off the hook, every time a Muslim congress woman opens her mouth, etc., etc, etc. Give me a fricking break.

A couple of weeks ago a Jewish man was attacked by an African American youth. Until the video was made public the police did not give out the race of the attacker.

Since whataboutism is all the rage these days, Obama sure loved to falsely blame cops for being racist, putting law enforcement in danger. https://www.google.c...hem-racist/amp/

LOL

If Trump knew they were lies, and knew the source was neonazis, you just might have a legitimate point.

But as usual, you don't: There's no evidence to suggest Trump "knew" anything about the source and/or "knew" the stats were inaccurate. Therefore we can honestly assert he made a mistake, but can't honestly pretend that mistake represents "racism".

What about every time Obama jumped the gun on horrible white nazis with out facts if you want to play what about? Oh thatís right what about is bad and he was just mistaken. Hypocritical much. Let me think of every time you called Obama out for falsely using rascism or admitting he did when it was proven. Bear with me math is hard ,, 0+0-0 diveded by 20,then multiply by 0/100 I may be wrong but = hypocit? Oops had to edit #FYI still your president
