RightNation.US: Did Preet Bahrara Get Caught in a Sting? - RightNation.US

-----
I'm putting this half baked theory up before my Fat Club post because I don't want two Fat Club posts back to back. I'm OCD that way.

Still, it's worth thinking about, this Preet Bahrara deal. Remember this from just two months ago?

Quote

'Somebody’s leaking them out,’ Trump said, after inveighing against leaks generally.

‘So I said, "Maybe it’s my office. Maybe my office." Because I’ve got a lot of people … Maybe it’s them?’

‘What I did, is I said I won’t tell anyone. I’m going to have a meeting, and I won’t tell anybody about my meeting with intelligence,’ Trump continued.

He even shielded one of his closest aides from word of the meeting.

‘Nobody knew – not even Rhona, my executive assistant for years. She didn’t know – I didn’t tell her. Nobody knew,’ Trump continued – drawing laughter from collected family members and staff.

Having set the trap, Trump says the word leaked anyway.

Fast forward to March 3. This is the first I can remember of hearing of this guy:

If you don't have the attention span to watch this, the Democrat Congresscritter, Sean Patrick Maloney, repeatedly asks for Preet Bahrara, by name, to be appointed special prosecutor to look into the Russian connection. I heard the same name on other shows, but I can't find the links because even if I narrow the dates down to before he was fired, all I get is page after page of him being fired.

Anyway, the point is, we've all seen liberals go out on the shows and repeat the same phrases, buzzwords, and talking points. It's de rigueur. It seemed like the same thing with this Bahrara guy, an odd choice since Trump had famously asked him to stay on back in November. Then we get to his being asked to resign along with 40 some odd other US attorneys. Yet, he refuses to, which is odd again.

Did Trump smoke this guy out as one of Obama's intelligence caches? It sure seems that way to me.

I think you are on to something here.

I dunno. His "not taking a call from Trump" suggests either indolence or a potential conflict under 5 U.S. Code § 552b.

I could believe either one. Something is "Hinky" but I dunno what. Ask me 50 years from now.

Should I be afraid of the deep state?

If I'm right about this, I'll be the most surprised of all.

It's certainly a plausible theory, Chris. Bharara's reputation among liberals and conservatives alike is golden. Indolent he ain't. And Trump specifically requested him to stay on to continue draining the swamp.

Something major certainly happened between then and now to make him change his mind.

The more I read about him, the more a fascist he is. He's the one who prosecuted Dinesh D 'Sousza and subpoenaed Reason magazine for commenters' info.

World's Shortest Movie Reviews
American Sniper: Bradly Cooper=Best Actor
The Arroyo: Had a Pureflix feel to the acting, but well shot. Great conservative movie.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies: As usual, the third installment is the best--having an ending really helped.
The Maze Runner: The perfect metaphor for moving to Detroit.
Dumb and Dumber To: More jokes. Cruder jokes. Someone gets hooked on crack.
Snowpiercer: Joe Biden's idea of heaven. Everyone on the Earth living on a train. Captain America admits he was going to eat Billy Elliot.
Hunger Games: Catching Fire: This is what the world would look like without college football.
Interstellar 2001:A Space Odyssey with a soul. You will get very thirsty, so hydrate before viewing.
When the Game Stands Tall Proves my theory that it's worse when you win.
Guardians of the Galaxy Make a fun adventure movie about space and make a ton of money. Who knew? I mean, besides that Lucas guy.
Blended I don't get the "Billy Madison is genius, Blended is crap" review. It's as good as any other Sandler movie.
Mom's Night Out Hilarious. You will laugh unless you drive a black BMW and watch sunsets at the golf course.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 This series is still better than the Toby McGuire one. I actually cared if Gwen Stacy died.
Odd Thomas I understand the critics who didn't like the uneven tone. Way uneven. Still worth watching on Netflix.
Star Trek Into DarknessGood movie. Please, for the love of tribbles, let old Spock die.
Grown Ups 2 Critics, attack. Whatever you want to say about this one, I'm okay with it.
Thor: The Dark World Still very, very good. But I'd like an entire Thor movie set just in Asgard.
