Dems Worried If Impeachment Fails They'll Have To Nominate Electable Candidate

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Democrats are beginning to grow worried that if their impeachment effort fails, they'll have to resort to plan B: nominating an electable candidate and winning an election.

"The real danger here," said Nancy Pelosi in a meeting of top Democrats, "is that the normal way of getting rid of a president---impeachment---fails. Then, we'd have to try to find someone who isn't a smug, smarmy doofus and get the public to like them."

"What about Andrew Yang? He's pretty nice," said one aide, who was then asked to leave the room for such reckless hate.

"I could run for president. I'm pretty electable," said Chuck Schumer.

"Oh, cut the crap. You're insufferable," said Pelosi, rolling her eyes. "Ocasio, any ideas?"

"What if we just, like, seized the means of production and executed all the leaders?" Ocasio-Cortez asked, looking up from a comic book about herself she was reading. "That would be so fetch."

Satire, yes, but Al Green (D0uche-TX) admitted to the plot on live TV.

I think "fetch" is an old slang word, as in "you look so 'fetchin' gorgeous today." It's kind of a Valley Girl old slang, which fits AOC per-fetch-ly.

(Fits her, but not necessarily by using the sentence you proposed...)

(More like: “Her second run for Congress did not fetch many votes”.) (:whistling: I know I know I know...)

I gotta stop reading Babylon Bee for the same reason I had to stop reading Dilbert. It got to much of a chore trying to remember if I was REALLY remembering something happening or if I was merely remembering a Dilbert comic; I KNEW it was time to stop when the memories I was dismissing as "Nah, must've been Dilbert" were the 'real life' things.

I've heard it said that a lot of Scott Adam's stuff came from real life people writing in with their experiences. If that's true, then I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that someone at the corporation I worked for in the '80s/'90s was snitching to Scott Adams... who then probably toned it down a bit just to make it 'believable'.

I think it was invented to get past the censors. "fekkin' " said in a Scots-Irish brogue --> "fetchin".

I mean, do you remember the heat wave that just ended in our parts? It was fekkin' hot, wasn't it? Hopefully, now, we are in for some fetching beautiful days.

Or,

"Fetching Beauty" // adj - n.// A female whose shapely figure could make a bishop kick a hole in a stained glass window.

I remember Fetch being used in a really old romcom I think when Heath Ledger was still alive.

Actually “Fetch” was from the movie “Mean Girls”. One of the popular girls followers keeps trying to make fetch a term that they use, but the titular “mean girl” tells her to “quit trying to make fetch happen, it’s never going to happen”

Having 4 daughters in their teens when that movie came out, I know that movie dialog pretty well
