Today Romney's Not So Wimpy

My first political thought after hearing about the embassy attacks was that I sure wish Perry was our nominee. But after hearing Romney's response to Obama's Carter moment, it dawned on me that relatively speaking Romney is a Stallone to Obama's Barney Fife.

That's about it for the lighter side of my response to yesterday's act of war. That is after all what I consider the murders of our Libyan Ambassador and staff at the embassy.

I was listening to ABC news a little earlier and started screaming at the TV listening to Diane Sawyer's report on all of this. She failed to mention Obama's embassy Carter apology for our freedom of speech until she got to the part of her report condemning Romney.

I am sick and tired of our news media claiming to be objective when in reality they are nothing but traitors and terrorists apologists.

I was also sick and tired this morning of listening to Fox and Friends constantly deride the video that supposedly incited all of this which of course, we now know was just a farce.

If I were President, I would be sending the hounds of hell on Libya and they would be living their worst nightmare, collateral damage be damned.

I would like to think that I'm just in one of those moods, how angry I am. I do know that I scared my poor little dog with my screaming at Diane.

Well that's about it. Oh except for one other thing that bothers me. Why is it folks on the internets are not mocking the Moslems for their girly-girl thin skin when it comes to Mohammad insults? Are they that sensitive that they can't just brush it off their shoulders instead of acting like little girls who get their wee little feelings hurt? Are they so immature that they think they can control others with their stupid uncalled for murderous rages? Are they that insecure that they can't act like real men and realize what us Americans were taught at an early age that sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me?

Oh wait . . . that was pre-pc America. Shoot that's still America where I live. Maybe not at my PC workplace but most definitely in my realm of family and friends.

Grow up terrorists and quit throwing your 2-year-old tantrums!

Elusively yours,
ilja

Good post, Ilja!

Notwithstanding my skepticism as posted on Chris's blog that this whole thing is somehow a put-up or frame-up job, I'm glad Romney is showing some cojones.

Thanks Danelady. It felt more like a rant.

I agree with you about Perry, and certainly about Romney. Despite the fact that the media is in the tank for Obama, and takes its signals from the Chicago-based Obama Campaign, Romney still managed to sound more Presidential than Obama.

We also know now that several reporters "coordinated" their questions of Romney for the purpose of trying to attack him.

The media is NOT objective. Stanford Univesity has proved that, and a number of independent media groups have said the same thing.

We just have to work harder, work smarter, and stay on our guard.

Great column, by the way. :D

It's one thing to mock Mormons and fundie hicks, but
allah forbid you should mock the muslin savage curs! Why they might get mad, riot and chop people's heads off! If dumbo. Jar Jar and the dhimmis in charge were not closet muslims we'd have dealt with the paleolithic pedophile moon worshippers a long time ago! There's still time to bomb the excrement out of them! Islam is a diseased cancer which must be excised and eradicated. If it takes some "chemo theraphy" to do it, then so be it!

Oh yeah, I heard about that but haven't read the details yet. I sure wish there was a way to convince my democrat-voting family members what is really going on. :hairpull:

Oh yeah, one more thing thanks twice.

I thought Romney did well with his comment and liked that he stayed and answered questions, even though the "journalists" were clearly trying to sandbag him. Unlike the current president, who after making a statement, turned on his heel and ignored the press.

I went looking for a Romney/Ryan site and the only one I could find was one owned by a Ron Paul supporter. So I went to Mitt's official site but they wanted to know so much about me that I gave up.

Okay, I finally put up with everything since they already have most of this information anyway except I gave them a fake ph#. :D

I don't think that Romney was wrong or 'wimpy' in calling Obama to task over the embassy murders. If you'll remember, Obama did the same thing 4 years ago, using the deaths of 9 US soldiers to beat McCain over the head. Quite effectively too, I might add.
I thought that Obozo's comments about the attacks and murders was incredibly weak and mild. Just as it is when he has to say anything that might annoy or upset Muslim's.
Obama's response to send in just 50 Marines to 'protect' the embassy and staff was a ridicoulsy weak response, especially when one considers the attacks on AMerican embassies in Egypt, Yemen, and Tunisia. That weak response is only going to encourage those arab a**holes. It's only going to get worse.
The governments of those countries should be put on notice that the United States holds them responsible for the safety and well-bieng of American diplomatic personell.
I, for one, am sick and tired of our embassies being attacked, or people being murdered and kidnapped, and all of the other bull<censored> that our govenrment allows to happen because no one has the balls to stand up to these third world bastards and say, "Do it, and you will die."
Can you possibly imagine how the Muslim would would act if Americans stormed the Liby or Egytpian embassies and killed their diplomats, and trashed the embassies?
Good Lord! They would go absolutely insane! (Not that it would be a very long trip!) And of course, the MSM around the world would raise all sorts of hell against America. The UN would sanction us, and we would have to pay billions in reparations, and get down on our knees and apologize and beg for forgiveness.
SCREW THAT!

But Obama will wind up saying something like, "It's all America's fault, because a few of our citizens (out of 300,00,000+) dared to offend Islam."
That is so typical of the LSD's. Everything is America's fault. Even when it's us who are the victims.
I don't think that Mitt Romney is going to follow that tenet.
He's stronger than that.

Obama is a wimp. What we would have once called a 'pussy'. (Sorry if I offend.)
But it fits, because he doesn't seem to have any balls. I think Michelle keeps them in her purse.

ilja's Corny Corner

A Doctor, A Lawyer, A Little Boy And A Priest
A doctor, a lawyer, a little boy and a priest were out for a Sunday afternoon flight on a small private plane. Suddenly, the plane developed engine trouble. In spite of the best efforts of the pilot, the plane started to go down. Finally, the pilot grabbed a parachute, yelled to the passengers that they had better jump, and then he bailed out.

Unfortunately, there were only three parachutes remaining. The doctor grabbed one and said "I'm a doctor, I save lives, so I must live," and jumped out.

The lawyer then said, "I'm a lawyer and lawyers are the smartest people in the world. I deserve to live." He also grabbed a parachute and jumped.

The priest looked at the little boy and said, "My son, I've lived a long and full life. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Take the last parachute and live in peace."

The little boy handed the parachute back to the priest and said, "Not to worry, Father. The 'smartest man in the world' just took off with my back pack."

John Mauldin relates the details of a conversation he had with John Boehner, the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

At the :50 Maudlin describes Boehner telling him that Obama has,

NEVER FORGET!

Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin’s long road home ended Saturday in a blaze of yellow ribbons, the silent tribute of people who lined the roads, and the respect of thousands more who filed past his coffin at a public visitation . . . “If four people showed up, that’s OK with me,” said Keith Maupin, the soldier’s father, as he took a mid-afternoon break outside the Civic Center, where many came up to him to shake his hand or give him a hug . . . Matt Maupin became the face of the war in Iraq for thousands here and across the country in April 2004, when an Arab TV station aired a tape showing the Union Township soldier kneeling and surrounded by masked men carrying automatic rifles . . .Four years and millions of prayers later, a tip from an Iraqi citizen led U.S. soldiers to the farm area northwest of Baghdad where Matt Maupin’s remains were found on March 20 . . .Scoutmaster David Bacon said the boys of Troop 511 had been well aware of the story of Matt Maupin and wanted to pay their own tribute.“I’ve talked to them many times about Matt,” said Bacon, whose cousin, Lance Cpl. David Kreuter, was killed in Iraq in 2005. “They understand it was the sacrifice of young men like Matt that gives us the freedom to meet every Monday night. There are places in the world where Boy Scouting is not allowed.” http://i147.photobuc.../3yqo3h0.gifPFC Keith Matthew MaupinCaptured in IraqApril 9, 2004

An Email From God?

I got this in an email today and though it doesn't say who wrote it, I don't doubt these things could have happened.'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL' You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news On September 11, 2001. Neither will I. I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK..I am ready to go.' I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night. I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said. 'Of course I will show you the way home - only believe in Me now.' I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered. I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them. I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan ... I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me? I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor. Some sought Me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me. But, I was there. I did not place you in the Tower that day. You may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me? Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are 'ready to go.' I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.
