A few thoughts on the 2010 mid term election.

We took the House by storm. We did not take the Senate, but we gained seats and the majority of governorships.

My home state of Ohio pretty much cleaned out the Dem trash with the exception of <censored>bags like Dennis Kucinich and Betty Sutton.

The leftwing MSM was in fine form, venting their spleens and acting like the assclowns we’ve come to know so well. Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, and Tom Brokaw all reached into their bags of snark to make pissy comments when it became clear the Dems were getting pulverized.

Al Sharpton, race pimp extrordinare, spewed the requisite “RACISM”!! bull<censored>:

Quote

I’ve travelled about twelve states in the last two weeks, and the anger I’m hearing is that the Republicans have helped to put us in this mess, and there’s been a lot of racism directed toward the President …. What is clear to most blacks [is] that Republicans put policies in there that led to this.

I hate to break this to ya Al, but your precious Marxist Obama and his merry band of Dem thugs got us into a brand new mess, with abusive government takeovers and a spending orgy on their union pals. Everytime they lose the argument, the race card gets thrown. The charge has totally lost its meaning and purpose thanks to worthless derelicts like Sharpton.
By the way, Al:

The historic Republican wave also produced historic results for minority candidates, from Latina and Indian-American governors to a pair of black congressmen from the deep South.

In New Mexico, Susana Martinez was elected as the nation’s first female Hispanic governor. Nikki Haley, whose parents were born in India, will be the first woman governor in South Carolina, and Brian Sandoval became Nevada’s first Hispanic governor.

Insurance company owner Tim Scott will be the first black Republican congressman from South Carolina since the post-Civil War Reconstruction Era in the 1860s-1870s, after easily winning in his conservative district. Scott, a 45-year-old state representative, earned a Republican primary victory over the son of the one-time segregationist U.S. Sen. Strom Thurmond.

In Florida, military veteran Allen West outfought a two-term Democrat to win his House race. He is the first black Republican elected to Congress from Florida since a former slave served two terms in the 1870s.

Former Army LTC Allen West , (Republican) who won the race in Florida’s Congressional District 22, is a great guy, and I’d love to see him on a future presidential ticket.

NOW the Dems want “cooperation”:

Quote

In a rare, live television interview, a visibly weary Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who handily won reelection in a hard-fought race against a Tea Party candidate, said he’s ready now to work with Republicans, including those from the upstart, grassroots movement that nearly brought him down.

“We’ve got to start working together…Legislation’s the art of compromise,” Reid told Today Show host Merideth Vierra.

I heard THE ONE wants to ‘reach out to Republicans’ as well.

These are the same partisan miscreants who shut Republicans and the American people out of the legislative process the last 2 years.
I’m with Michelle Malkin:

Quote

The grass-roots conservative midterm message: No surrender, no compromise, no capitulation.
http://michellemalkin.com/2010/11/03/take-...e-it-democrats/

Harry (white flag) Reid held on to his Senate seat, under very questionable circumstances. Voter fraud had already been established during the early voting, and the Nevada election stinks to high heaven.

California officially flushed itself down the toilet by re-electing Barbara (“call me Senator") Boxer, and electing Jerry (governor moonbeam) Brown.

There’s just some areas of the country you have to write off as a waste of oxygen; like California, Vermont, Massachusetts, and parts of North East Ohio, who cannot see past their liberal/union noses and keep putting the same Dem douchebags back into office.

More good news from Florida: Alan Grayson, the barking moonbat known for making loopy comments and acting nuts, has been defeated by Republican Daniel Webster. Marco Rubio also defeated the former R.I.N.O. Charlie Crist.

All in all, it was a fantastic mid-term victory for Republicans and Tea Party principles. Now, the hard work starts. They have to get busy un<censored>ing all the damage the Dems have done to this country, especially in the last 2 years.
They have their hands full.

And yet, standing there, dazed and holding their own skull fragments in their hands, insist nothing serious has happened.

Every time I see Harry Reid, I envision a rope around his neck with one end tied to my trailer hitch....

I tried to pull Massachusetts red. I think what we need to do to get the country back is make government union illegal and figure out some way of making the idle rich pay for their own utopian dreams.

Don't blame me on Cali. I was with the "If it's Brown, flush it down" crowd. But you also have to look at his opponent... "Arnold in Drag". We were screwed either way.

Joe and moocow,

Trust me, I feel your pain. I'm a lonely Libertarian-leaning Republican in North East Ohio. The unions and Dems have absolutely destroyed the economy and priced their own people out of jobs. Here's another peice I wrote on the subject:

Certain enclaves keep trying to dig us deeper into a socialist abyss.
