18 years ago. Hard to believe.

It is important to remember that people cheered this event, and not just radical Muslims.

This event was cheered by American citizens as well. We all know this. It was cheered by people who teach in our schools, and people who run for and hold political office, among others. Americans. Who cheered this.

That is why we can never forget. The enemy won't. And the enemy is here.

I read this every year on this date, and encourage others to read it too. It is very important to remember and to make sure those who were too young learn about it. My parents and their siblings told us kids many times about what they were doing when Pearl Harbor was hit. How they were glued to the radio, what the feeling was around their community and the country. It is important that the young people learn these things.
