Yep, it is what it is... And while I pray for good news, after the Ovomit Atrocity, I know that horror can be just around the corner once again...

Voting should have happened on Halloween... :o :o :o :o :o

I've always believed that elections should be held on April 16th, while people are still sulking after paying taxes on the 15th.

Same birthday as Charlie Chaplin, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Peter Garrett.

FL and GA prediction.

(Yeah I know, just another A-hole bloviating.) But, what the heck, another half hour or so until polls close, what else is there to do? Well, I COULD listen to some other a-hole bloviating and making wild guesses combined with wishful thinking, but why listen to someone else do what *I* can do?

Prediction: Gillum in FL and Abrams in GA will 'start' strong in the Gov's races; Metro areas tend to report earliest. Don't be dismayed; each's lead will diminish as the night goes on. Possibly flipping each way once or more. I doubt we'll know either one for sure tonight.

Well, then how about July 5th, not only the day after Independence Day but also P.T Barnum's birthday? What could be more relevant?

That would be wicked sarcasm. April 16th is a better fit for yours truly.

Not sure if it means anything yet, but Indiana's Braun is up 45,000 to 29,000 over the Leftist incumbent in a Senate race that's supposed to be a statistical dead heat.

I going to watch rifftrax and read a Will Eisner comic I will check up at 8 and 9. I voted for and am praying for Eddie Edwards.

Not to rain on your parade, or in this case, your good idea, but unlike you (a successful businessman who knows a thing or two about paying taxes - both business and personal) April 15th represents the government sending most people a 'refund' and they look forward to seeing how much money they will be getting from the government. What was that recent statistic about 50%+ of the country receives in more than they pay. I think it would just be used by the Democrats to promise more cake on the menu next year.

(But I like your idea overall).

Sitting at LAX waiting for my flight to Nashville, got a text from Mom that Marsha Blackburn has been declared for the Tennessee senate race. Phew! Was genuinely worried about that one.

Whew, that's wonderful!!! I hated the thought of listening to Bredesen's condescending voice the next 40 years. I can't even stomach Fox News on a night like this and the locals have started sounding like their network affiliates.

Back to painting my new house. :RN:

I despise Bredesen, both as Mayor and as Governor! Hated the idea of him as a Senator!

The weather here is pretty bad. Torrential rain and 50 MPH winds. Might keep folks at home. Not me, of course.

No worries L/B I paid two illegal aliens to vote in your district just to cancel out your vote :tongue2:

Good to see ya here tonight. I'm switching between Fox and MSNBC waiting for Gunsmoke to come on at 7.
