Since we have not had a "candidate" on this site for over a year, I am bringing this forum and our Presidential chances back to life.
President Buster
Priority 1 issues:
*National security: Defending our nation is and always will be the most important responsibility for our Commander-In-Chief. This will be an issue I will not waiver on. With the DoD, SecState and branch leaders of the military, an extensive review of globally-deployed forces shall be conducted. We will determine where long-deployed forces are most needed. For example, it is in our interest to keep troops near the Korean border since North Korea and China are potential threats and we may need quick retaliation or other actions with little foward notice. Bases in Germany and other European nations are no longer as necessary. Members of the EU have been lax in their responsibility to deter terrorism and can be left to reap what they've sown. Our forces could be better used in current missions in the Middle East. We will deploy to Europe, Central America and anywhere else on an as-needed basis. This will be to maximize our forces in Iraq, Afghanistan and IRAN. The job will be finished in Iraq. No more walking on egg shells when being fired upon from mosques or from residential homes. The line "if you harbor terrorists, we will not tolerate it" will be more forcefully held to. Speaking of Iran, we will cease the non-effective negotiations and talks. We will militarily destroy their nuclear facilities without warning and we'll make very clear that retaliation WILL result in the destruction of Tehran.
*Immigration: This is directly tied to National Security and demands the same attention as foreign matters. No one will be able to enter the nation WITHOUT fulfilling proper legal immigration requirements. We will scale back the number of annual immigrants allowed to enter the nation until the illegal aspect is under control. The borders will be secured and patrolled. A better fence will be contructed, perhaps a set of fences spaced apart. Anyone seen trying to penetrate the border will be given an amplified audio warning. If they do not retreat, they will be apprehended by the border security who has permission to use appropriate force without restrictions. This may seen harsh, but the fact is that every illegal alien/border-crosser IS a criminal even aside from their possible intentions of drug trafficking, murder, assault and gang involvement. There will be a law passed outlawing the practice of "anchor babies". Any baby born in this nation will not be granted automatic citizenship. To become a citizen, the parents must comply with immigration regulations and apply for citizenship legally. Once citizenship is granted, their children will be included. Regarding this process, we will enact the "Ellis Island Plan". This will set up Immigration Centers in New York, Washington state, Southern California, Texas and Florida. These are the ONLY places someone may enter the country for citizenship. The government will coordinate with local airports to ensure the detaining and return of any prospective immigrants who fail the requirements and are denied citizenship. English shall be mandated as the national language, not only for immigration and security issues, but also to dratically reduce the financial waste of duplicating government documents in foreign languages. A business found knowingly employing illegals shall be conficated and the assets will be added to the border security funds and imprisonment will also happen. Every school MUST provide proof of citizenship of every student or risk losing federal funding. A hospital must reject all illegal aliens from care and report them to local authorities to be picked up. These harsh penalties will be in place not as a form of punishment, but as an initiative to be more proactive and to eliminate the lax mindset held by many who harbor illegals.
*Economy: Spending shall be reigned in with the President's pen. As President, I will require any bill proposed to include only items that are related to the main objective of the bill. If unrelated items are included, I will veto. This will be a way of having a near-line item veto without actually having one. For instance, a bill funding defense must include ONLY related items to gain my approval. I am unconcerned if this makes the workload greater for Congress, it is more beneficial to the taxpayers of the nation as it will eliminate "pork" and budget items that would not be passed on their own merit. Some budget cuts that will be examined will be the funding of arts, unnecessary scientific projects and research that are of no real benefit to our nation, funding of NPR and PBS, etc. Also, taxes will be cut where necessary after the budget is reigned in. We'll also form a panel who will examine the simplification of the income tax process such as through a flat tax, a national sales tax in lieu of income tax, or any other reasonable proposal. A goal of implementation by the end of my first term will be put in place. Also, Social Security's privatization will be pushed.
Priority 2 issues:
*2nd Amendment: Will not be limited or infringed upon in ANY way during my Presidency.
*Abortion: I believe in life and the protection of it. If given the opportunity to assist in the overturning of the bad decision known as Roe vs. Wade, I will do so within the powers granted to me by the Constitution. See also: Judiciary.
*Judiciary: I will appoint judges on every level who support my views on vital issues such as the 2nd Amendment, abortion and free speech issues including religious freedom that is being suppressed through activist judges. I will not make appointments based solely on views, their qualifications will be examined FIRST, then narrowed down by their interpretations of the law and Constitution.
*Healthcare: This issue is best left OUT of bureaucracy. National healthcare is out of the question, as evidenced by its failure globally. However, I do identify improvements that can and should be made in regulation. The reduction of care provided to illegals will dramatically improve resources available to every American, as will limits on malpractice suits.
*Litigation: To eliminate or at least reduce petty lawsuits that waste tax dollars and judicial time, legislation will be enacted that will hold the filer of any lawsuit deemed as petty responsible for reimbursement of court and legal costs in a failed suit. This should deter lawsuits that are not legitimate from being filed.
*Energy: Environmental restrictions preventing new refineries and nuclear utility facilities will be relaxed, eliminatede or revised as necessary. Discovered but untapped domestic reserves WILL be used to eliminate the dependence on foreign energy. Also, research in alternative energy forms will be encouraged, but their implementation will not be mandated by the government, the market will control their effectiveness and practicality.

Man.
Just wait till you get to Washington and the 'company' takes over you and your ideas.
Kidding...I've been watching too much Prison Break lately.
Good ideas though. I agree on just about everything.
