I remember watching this speech the night it was given, and I remember thinking, "maybe if some were to hear this, they might change their minds." I fully expected it to be posted on RN, but to date, it has not. So here it is. This is from the warrior for the right that many claim to love and respect.

"Anyone that's willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you're not in that bunker because you're not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you, you're on the other side."

He did more to fight against the progressive left than anyone (that I know of, anyway) on this site. I stand with Breitbart. Where stand you, proud "conservatives" willing to forfeit to Obama?

What say you? Was AB wrong? I think not.

I blame his heart troubles on the progressive liberals who pissed him off.

Their total lack of ethics, morals, and common sense have caused more heartache than we can calculate.

That, and his inability to rest. He died fighting. He died a hero. My hero.

Thank you for posting that, what a great American he was, and I embrace the new slogan, "We are all Andrew Breitbard now".

It is no mystery why the Left was scared to death. He declared war on them, and he had a history of success at winning.

When he said, "We're going to vet Barack Obama", I could only imagine that the dark prince of secrecy and deceit felt it was a direct challenge that could hurt him.

What a truly great American. I know the Founders would be proud of him, as so many of us are.

I was listening to Rusty Humphries after reading X R's post in another thread, and I heard this part of AB's speech, and I felt that I was (if you will) called to post this. I didn't post it before, because I kinda expected that it would be posted after CPAC, yet it was AB's death that reminded me of it and made me feel it must be posted.

He was (and always will be) a great American. He was (and is, and always will be) a hero. Some of us are Andrew Breitbart. If, and when, we all become him, we will succeed.

I agree with him fully, and have practiced that in the past. I learned my lesson in 1992. Never again.

I just wish Bush 43 had replaced all of Clinton's people, instead of keeping many in a gesture of "post partisanship". That came back to bite him in the end.

With that hair, he and Patrick Henry would have been poster twins. :D

He reminds me of the indomitable spirit of the American Revolution. That's also when Franklin became a crusading journalist as well as a spy. The Left HATES crusading journalists. :usa:

I will always wonder if that was Bush '41's idea, especially since the Supreme Court basically had to rule on the Florida recount in what was an extremely tight election.

Great speech. However, I do care who we nominate as the GOP Presidential candidate. I do not want a candidate who is afraid to say that Baroque Obama is a Radical!

You see I may admire someone and even consider them a real hero but that does not mean I have to agree with them 100%. The idea that 'we should not be afraid to say Baroque Obama is a Radical' does not equal 'it does not matter who wins the nomination' when the current front-runner is afraid to call Obama out.

I realize that some might think that it's crass for me to disagree with Breitbart on anything so soon after his death but I cannot lie when it comes to something as important as this. I am pretty much down in the dumps with the way things look right now and our chances to win the upcoming election with a candidate who is so dull, he makes Dole look like Robin Williams. With a candidate as milque-toast as our current front-runner, what's the point?

Part of being a conservative is respecting the right to disagree. We're a lot of things, but sheep isn't one of them. :)

:sheep:

I think I know what Andrew Breitbart meant. No matter who the GOP candidate is, we need to work for him and get him elected.

It matters to me who the candidate is. But, even if it's someone I don't like, I'll work my tail off to get him elected.

We cannot afford four more years of Obama.

That said, I'll miss Andrew Breitbart in the fight.

I posted a link to it in the tribute thread, but it's a great speech/rally cry worthy of its own thread. The "I am Andrew Breitbart" meme has taken n a life of its own. A friend helped me create a "twibbon" that can be added to one's Facebook or Twitter avatar http://twibbon.com/j...AndrewBreitbart if you want one. Was going to add it to mine here next time I sit down at the PC.

Not everyone will agree with his point, but I appreciate him making it.
