Iraq War is "Immoral, Illegal, and Totally Unnecessary"

Quote

Here's my number one fear: I fear that Bush (who disgusts me, so just know that, and save your flames for someone who cares) will see this as an opportunity to look "Presidential", and bomb "Them" back to the stone age, and figure out who "They" are later. Sure, I think that we should find out who did this, and deal with them...but I fear the way it's going to be handled.

I don't support this war.I believe that Mr. Bush's justifications for it are based on lies. I believe that he has lied to the American people, and to the world. I believe that there is a small group of people within Mr. Bush's administration who have wanted to invade Iraq since the mid-1990s. The horriffic terrorist attacks on September 11th, which have nothing to do with Iraq and everything to do with Saudi Arabia, have been exploited by this small group of people to justify this invasion. While I believe that Saddam Hussein is a terrible despot, I do not
believe that this action is worth one American life, and I hope for the speedy return of all military forces to their families.May Peace Prevail On Earth.

You know who Bush's MAN should have been? Every American soldier who was in Iraq fighting his immoral, illegal, and totally unnecessary war. Every child who is without a father or mother, every husband or wife, son or daughter who isn't ever coming home . . . they are "your man," Mr. Bush.

So here's the big question: If people who don't stand behind Mr. Bush's laughable foreign policy, and the wars it has created (and will continue to create), they're "against us." If people dare to express an opinion like, "I am ashamed of Mr. Bush" they are boycotted, threatened with injury and death. (I'll take it one step further: I'm ashamed of Mr. Bush, his entire administration, and the Congress that has given the Executive branch of government unchecked and unquestioned imperial powers to do whatever they please.)

In June of 1989, I attended a showing of Star Trek V at a movie theater in Westwood, California. It was opening night and Wil Wheaton was there along with a group of his friends. He was 16 years old at the time and was so, "far from being sober", it was sad. After the movie ended, he was carried out of the theater by his friends, he looked unconscious.

This genius is going to give us political advice?
