Excerpt:

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) called for a new world order on Tuesday - one that does away with state sovereignty. Speaking at an event at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, the former presidential candidate dreamed of a world where we could all enjoy "shared prosperity."

"It is time for us to stand up and say there is a better way to use our wealth," Sanders declared. "In closing let me simply state, in order to effectively to combat the pluses of global oligarchy and authoritarianism, we need an international movement that mobilizes behind a vision of shared prosperity, security and dignity for all people and that addresses the massive global inequality that exists not only in wealth, but in political power."

He offered more wisdom:

"We must take the opportunity to reconceptualize a global order based on human solidarity, based on the understanding that itís not me against you or the United States against China, but that we as the world especially with the threat of climate chance (sic) are in it together, that in many ways we are going to survive by working together or weíre going to go down by the types of divisions that the authoritarians are trying to create. We need a new order that recognizes that every person on this planet shares a common humanity that we all want our children to grow up healthy, to have a good education, to have decent jobs, to drink clean water, to breathe clean air and to live in peace. Our job is to reach out to those in every corner of the world who share these values and will fight with us for a better world. Authoritarians seek power by promoting division and hatred. We will promote unity, inclusive and love. In a time of exploiting wealth in technology we have on this planet the potential to create a decent life for all people.

Indeed I think he should lead by example. $100,000 would pay off all of my debt and leave some cash for savings. That would make me very prosperous. I'm sure he can afford it.

Shared prosperity? You mean like we all pool our money together and split it evenly? I don't think Bernie has done the math. Perhaps he should read the following article:

Where are you on the global pay scale?

If there were no rich and poor, and everyone had an equal share of the world's total pay packet, how much would they earn?

The total value of world income is closing in on $70 trillion (£43.9tn) per year, andthere are seven billion people in the world, so the average income is heading towards $10,000 (£6,273) per person per year. Easy.

But not everyone has a job and some of those seven billion are children. So another question you could ask is: "What is the world's average wage?"

That is more tricky to answer, but a group of economists at the United Nations' International Labour Organization (ILO) has had a go, though they have never gone public with this information. Until now.

Let's consider the scale of the Herculean task the number crunchers at the ILO set themselves.

First, they work out the total wage bill for every country in the world. To do that they get the average salary from each office for national statistics, and multiply that amount by the number of earners in each country.

In this way, they are able to give more weight to countries which have more workers in them. The average salary in China has more influence on the world average than the average salary in New Zealand, where many fewer people live.

Once they have the total wage bill for each country, they add them all together and divide by the total number of earners in the world.

That gives you the answer - the world's average salary is $1,480 (£928) a month, which is just less than $18,000 (£11,291) a year.

(link)

Let me spell this out for Bernie. $18,000 per year will not get you a house on the lake and an Audi R8 (like Bernie currently enjoys). Shared prosperity means a DECREASE in the standard of living for most people in America. Why the hell would we want to do that?

No matter how hard they try, how they change the words, socialism just can't be prettied up.
That, and he thinks we're pretty darn stupid. He knows he can't dazzle us with his brilliance so he tries to baffle us with his B.S.

Well, at least his "more wisdom" had SOMETHING factual:

Quote

Authoritarians seek power by promoting division and hatred.

I agree. Now explain why you caucus with them.

And who will lead, oversee, and eventually control this "international movement"? An authoritarian global oligarchy. Sanders is reserving his seat at the table.

Maybe he should say those words from the floor of the Senate or at an antifa riot rally. Better, save that line for the 2020 Democrat primary. It could have been a real zinger to use on Hillary?.

So why isn't your side doing that now? Oh, because Trump.

I'm no expert, but Sanders is clearly exhibiting symptoms of Dementia. Come to think of it, with the number of voters willing to support him, we may be witnessing an epidemic!

I have always thought the lack of self-awareness among these dingbats is amazing. If he was giving away all but, say, $50,000 of his annual income and lived in a 900 square foot house, then he would have room to preach. However, when you live better than 99% of the people in the country, I donít listen to you tell me how to live or how the world should work.

In Bernie's hypocritical warped mind, we make the prosperity then we're forced to share it with the truly worthless and lazy such as himself.

So, Bernie, who is it that will determine exactly what "shared" means....the State?

That's what I thought.
