More Illegal Aliens Giving Birth To Anchor Babies In Los Angeles Than Total U.S. Births In 14 States

Breitbart
By John Binder

Excerpt:

There are now more illegal aliens giving birth to anchor babies in the Los Angeles, California metro area than there are total United States births in 14 states and the District of Columbia.

New wide-ranging analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies‘ Steven Camarotta reveals that there are an estimated 28,000 births to illegal aliens every year in the Los Angeles metro area, exceeding the total number of U.S. births in 14 states and the District of Columbia.

The children of illegal aliens are commonly known as “anchor babies,” as they anchor their illegal alien and noncitizen parents in the U.S. and eventually are allowed to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the country through the process known as “chain migration.”

About 1-in-5 U.S. births — or 791,000 — are to legal and illegal immigrant mothers, with legal immigrant mothers accounting for about 12.4 percent of those births and illegal alien mothers accounting for 7.5 percent.

In the Los Angeles, California metro area, illegal alien births make up nearly 18 percent of all births in the region. In the Las Vegas, Nevada metro area, illegal alien births account for about 17 percent of all births.

California — a sanctuary state for illegal aliens — has the largest number of illegal alien births with about 65,000 illegal alien births every year. Texas has about 51,000 illegal alien births every year, while Florida has about 16,000 illegal alien births every year.

When you can engage in "deficit spending" the way we do in this country, by the time the impact from this nonsense registers, it'll be just a small blip on the screen. And how else to keep the B.S. going than to keep a steady flow of new Democrats adding to the census?

Here’s something interesting. It’s badly worded in the article but 7.5% / (7.5%+12.4%) of 791,000 is about 300,000. These are total illegal immigrant births per year in the US.

Birthrate for this population is about 15 per 1,000 population. Therefore, we can calculate the illegal population, probably pretty accurately. It’s 300,000*1000/15 = 20,000,000.

The MIT study from the other thread said 22,000,000. This is a pretty good check on that, and is way more than the 12,000,000 claimed.

(I should really repeat this for the Russian in the other thread but he’d ignore it so why bother.)

And who pays the hospital costs for those anchor baby births? US taxpayers. :redhot:

Medicaid Helps Hospitals Pay For Illegal Immigrants’ Care

Federal law generally bars illegal immigrants from being covered by Medicaid. But a little-known part of the state-federal health insurance program for the poor has long paid about $2 billion a year for emergency treatment for a group of patients who, according to hospitals, mostly comprise illegal immigrants.

The lion’s share goes to reimburse hospitals for delivering babies for women who show up in their emergency rooms, according to interviews with hospital officials and studies.

The funding — which has been around since the late 1980s and is less than 1 percent of the cost of Medicaid — underscores the political and practical challenges of refusing to cover an entire class of people. Congress approved the program after lawmakers required hospitals to screen and stabilize all emergency patients regardless of their insurance or citizenship status.

“We can’t turn them away,” said Joanne Aquilina, the chief financial officer of Bethesda Healthcare System in Boynton Beach, Fla., which sees many illegal immigrants because of its proximity to farms where they harvest sugarcane and other seasonal crops.

Maybe the farms should be billed.
