College students say they can't send in their absentee ballots because they don't know where to buy stamps

Fairfax County, Virginia conducted a focus group this summer with college interns from across various county departments.

County officials learned that college students were failing to send back their absentee ballots because they didn't know how to get a stamp.

"That seems to be like a hump that they can't get across," Lisa Conners, of the Fairfax County Office of Public Affairs, told WTOP on Tuesday.

Democrats are counting on Generation Z, many of whom recently gained the right to vote, to help turn Congress blue in the midterm elections.

But 49 cents may be all it takes to keep these post-Millennials from exercising their civic duty.

On Tuesday, a Fairfax County, Virginia official said they are noticing a disturbing trend: young people failing to mail in their absentee ballots because they don't know how to get a stamp.

They can't seem to get a clue, either.

This absolutely floored Me! After checking for a byline from a known satirical site,
I have a question. Who tells them when to breathe and when to eat?
I realize they grew up in a different time, but were they never taught how the postal
system works? The mind wobbles.

Hmmm, how do you think people who are so unaware of the world that they don't know that the post office sells stamps decide how to vote? If they can't even be bothered to type "where to buy stamps" into an internet search (the results point to USPS and Amazon -- evidently the post office sells stamps on Amazon now) how likely is it that they'll do enough research into the issues and the candidates to make an informed decision?

So let's see...

Who takes the letter... oh that's right the Post Office maybe these ijits should start there.
I would ask my 20 year old daughter where do you think you can buy stamps but I would get a seriously dad?
I would ask my 17 year old daughter question the same but she wouldn't even bother to answer for fear of her Dad embarrassing her.

Maybe my 7 year old son doesn't know....

Bookstore, and there was a post office on campus where I went to school. In fact I've not seen a major school without a post office.

If they are too stupid to figure out where to get a stamp, I donít know if I want them voting. Unless of course, they need my help and then I would be happy to help them with the republican ballot! :whistling:

Surely these morons can Google "where to buy stamps" and read what comes up. It's not that difficult. Their problem might be trying to figure out what a Post Office is...

I am surprised there is not a call to make absentee ballots not require stamps.

Stamps are obviously racist, cisgendered, heteronomative, and Islamophobic.

I am DERPTACUS!
