REPORT: Trump To Expand Military Border Deployment From 800 To 5,000

Breitbart
By Bob Price
29 Oct 2018

Excerpt:

Reports on Monday indicate that President Donald Trump will order an expansion of the U.S. military deployment to the U.S. southwest border. The order is expected to increase the number of troops being deployed from 800 to 5,000.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday morning that the U.S. military plans to deploy 5,000 troops to the southwest border region in response to the caravan of “would-be asylum seekers.” The plans reportedly call for 1,800 troops to deploy to Texas, 1,700 to Arizona, and 1,500 to California.

A Pentagon spokesman did not appear to deny the reported deployment expansion. Rather, the spokesman said the discussion of the actual figures is “premature.”

Under “Operation Faithful Patriot,” troops are expected to be assigned to ports of entry in the early phase. They are expected to support Border Patrol agents and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in dealing with the anticipated migrant caravan arrivals.

The troops are expected to come from about ten U.S. Army installations. The composition of the forces is expected to include military police, engineers, and medical personnel.

CBP Commissioner Kevin McAleenan said his agency is updating “longstanding plans to deal with a mass migration situation.” Those plans include temporary holding and processing facilities, he said.

McAleenan said he plans to ensure the CBP can “secure the ports (of entry) and prevent a large group from coming at one time.”

Over the weekend, Mexican authorities offered to provide asylum, jobs, and education and health benefits to the migrants in the Central American caravan headed north from Guatemala, Breitbart News’ Ildefonso Ortiz and Brandon Darby reported. The migrants soundly rejected the offer — instead, they stated their intention to migrate to the U.S.

Thank you but no was the response from a group of migrants in Arriaga, Mexico. “No, we’re heading north.”

Another migrant, 58-year-old Oscar Sosa, told the reporters, “Our goal is not to remain in Mexico. Our goal is to make it to the (U.S). We want passage, that’s all.”

Exactly what I was thinking.

Just make sure that not only are they armed, but have full fire support back up.
I guarantee you they will be fired upon. Under Obama they would have been left defenseless, under Trump I have hope that not only will they be armed but will also be allowed to shoot back and if things get to harry call for support. Trust me, you have an Apache come out of absolutely know where and suddenly it's on your ass or in your face it causes your attitude to change real quick.

They shoot at you, light em' up.

English translation: No, we don't want jobs, healthcare, nor shelter like Mexico has offered us. We want what the Left has always falsely promised their hopeful constituents: welfare, free taxpayer funded healthcare, totally free subsidized housing, none of which we've ever paid/worked one red single cent towards, the whole free ride, automatic citizenship, and a membership card from the Dipstick Party. Pelosi and the holy Mulatto handing out water bottles on the border would be a thoughtful touch. Oh and an MS-13 leather jacket would make a nice house warming gift, too.

It's better if this acts are prevention as opposed to confrontation: drop leaflets around the caravan and along its future path detailing the US military presence at the border, saying they've been lied to and that they won't be allowed to walk freely into the US. The more that go home to improve their own country or who take up Mexico's offer of asylum and jobs, the fewer who need to be screened at the US border.

This is nothing less than a foreign invasion. I'd be up for suspending both habeas corpus and posse comitatus on the border until the emergency is over. And to disperse crowds there's nothing like low level supersonic fighter aircraft flybys but probably won't work as well where they think you won't fire on them.

I want to see some of the pain guns we keep hearing about, along with the sonic weapons, actually put to use for crowd control.

You're right in that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. But I think the cold, hard facts are that these caravan people aren't seeking to be convinced, they already are convinced. The fact that we are currently arming with intent to defend(and , I hope, with extreme prejudice) against the invasion of our sovereign borders by a cobbled-together ragged, criminal foreign invasion force surely supersedes any leaflet dropping. Improving their own sh*thole countries isn't an option. They're looking for Leftard socialism whether they know the term or not. Take from the Haves to give to the Havenots. Its re branded Obama-ism "spreading it around" they're looking for. Why else would the Left be so happy to welcome them with open borders? If the Left thought for a split second that this was anything but undocumented Dims in the making then Occasional-Cortex (a nod to grimreefer) and her ilk would've been on a plane down there ready to slit every one of their throats without hesitation, a week ago.

Beggars can't be choosers, Oscar. You are in no position to demand a G-D thing.

I don't think posse comitatus applies to sealing our border against an invasion.

I’ve seen pictures of these “caravans”. I’m noticing a lack of females and children. Most of the men seem to be between 18 and 40. That is an invasion force. No other way to call it. If any other country had 7,000 to 20,000 young men marching towards their border a war would be declared.

That’s a good starting point, certainly an improvement over 800, but maybe 10,000 would be closer to the right number, at this point.

This fear mongering from Trump about a few thousand aspiring immigrants as if they are some kind of major threat is insane. Not only bigoted, but incredibly stupid and cowardly.

It never ceases to amaze me how bigotry is so utterly moronic and impervious to reason.

In.Cred.Ib.Le.

Every time I conclude you can't possibly go even lower in your blindly partisan mindless Trump-hatred, you prove me wrong.

Sad.

So you will be inviting a few in and paying there room, board and care when again? Do tell?
Since you are a okay with it... you did what to verify that none will be gang members, rapists, and 'bad Hombres'?
Can I have your address so I can send my wife and kids to take residence in your backyard and living room, on your expense?
No? Why not? That's what your expecting us to do.

But yet none of these idiots will leave their doors unlocked much less invite a few in on their dime. Like most leftists they just expect everything to be free and taken care of by others.

I can only assume you feel the same way towards those of us who agree with him here, and I have to say I find that pretty offensive and insulting. Despite what you think, I and others who want people to follow our laws and respect our country are not bigots, nor are we stupid or cowards. These people aren't aspiring immigrants. They don't want to come here and be Americans. If they did they wouldn't be burning our flags. IF they did they wouldn't be making their literal first act in our country to be breaking our laws. If they did, they'd apply and enter our country legally. But they're not interested in being Americans. They just want out of their rough lives. And while I sympathize (I know, hard to believe from a bigot like me right?), I don't think that's a reason we should support criminal actions. There are many, many people applying to come here legally, including asylum seekers and others who are coming from violent, poverty stricken countries.

The actions of the President are necessary here. We don't know who the people in this caravan are. Are 100% of them victims seeking asylum? Are any carrying contagious illnesses? Are any criminals? We hear that there are some from outside South America, are they also innocent asylum seekers who managed to afford to fly to South America? What happens if the stupid bigot coward President lets them in? Will that be the end or will there be another caravan twice that size next followed by another one twice its size?

I'll be honest with you Timothy. As far as liberal posters go around here I like you. You make your points, even if I disagree with them, you don't troll, and don't usually engage in pissing matches or personal attacks even when you receive them. But I have to say, reading this post I've lost nearly all respect for you.
