Anti-Semites Have Been Hiding In Plain Sight For Too Long

On Fox News' 'The Ingraham Angle,' straight talk about the controversial Linda Sarsour, Marc Lamont Hill and others

Mainstream media members and outlets have “gone out of [their] way” to “cover” for such controversial activists as Linda Sarsour when she excuses anti-Semitism “because she’s a woman, she’s Muslim, and she’s a harsh critic of” President Donald Trump’s, Fox News host Laura Ingraham said on Thursday night on “The Ingraham Angle.”

Ingraham hailed the “good news” that stemmed from CNN’s decision on Thursday to fire commentator Marc Lamont Hill for a speech he gave at the U.N. on Wednesday. During those remarks, he appeared to call for the destruction of Israel as a sovereign entity.

But Ingraham blasted CNN and other media outlets for being “responsible for elevating Sarsour to cult-like status” despite her coziness with controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

Farrakhan has a lengthy history of making anti-Semitic comments, such as calling “the powerful Jews” his enemy and calling Jews “termites.” But Sarsour, a Palestinian-American Muslim and a board member of the Women’s March, had no qualms about appearing alongside Farrakhan and attending events sponsored by the Nation of Islam, along with other Women’s March leaders.

Women’s March founder Teresa Shook even called for Sarsour and other current leadership members last week to step down because of their association with anti-Semitic organizations and their “hateful, racist rhetoric.”

Sarsour also came under fire a couple of weeks ago for criticizing “folks who masquerade as progressives but always choose their allegiance to Israel over their commitment to democracy and free speech.”

Anti-Defamation League director Jonathan Greenblatt has also rebuked Sarsour for her ties to anti-Semitism.

Ingraham called out CNN and other mainstream media outlets for being so “desperate to smash all things Trump” that they were “only too happy to offer this incendiary figure a platform to organize” by featuring her on their shows.

“Sarsour owes her public profile to a press that has gone out of its way to cover for her rather than actually cover her true motives and allegiances,” said Ingraham. “They made excuses for Sarsour because she’s a woman, she’s Muslim, and she’s a harsh critic of the president.”

“Now, they’re paying the price with further erosion in their own credibility,” she added.

But Code Pink national co-director Ariel Gold told Ingraham that “it’s so disgraceful that Jonathan Greenblatt [CEO of the Anti-Defamation League] is spending his time going after people who are our real allies.”

“Why are people trying to drive wedges between Muslim and Jewish partnerships?” Gold went on. “The Anti-Defamation League is completely out of line in this case and they are on the wrong track. They’re on a witch hunt again Linda Sarsour for being a strong Palestinian, Muslim woman rather than dealing with the fact that we have white nationalists in the Senate, in the House, and in the White House.”

Ingraham pushed back on that, saying that “a lot of people kind of give [Sarsour] a lot of slack” because she’s a woman, a Palestinian-American, and a Muslim.”

“And yet if conservatives say one thing out of line, you’ve got Media Matters, little people in their underwear in their basement writing about — you’ve got all these, ‘Boycott, boycott, boycott,'” said Ingraham, who has been the target of failed Media Matters-driven boycotts.

Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin agreed with Ingraham, saying Sarsour has “bamboozled a lot of people.”

Malkin said it is paramount that organizations like the Women’s March combat “the toxic anti-Semitism that lies at the intersection of the extreme Left and radical Islam,” before lambasting Gold herself.

Marc Lamont Hill is a typical, rabid leftist who used to be on the Bill O’Reilly show. Couldn’t stand him then and was part of the reason I quit watching O’Reilly. It is about time Lamont Hill is called to account for his hateful anti-Semitism, which he has been open about for a long time.
