Underrated band, and Reflections is IMO one of the best pop songs ever written. RIP.

I had a crush on Toni Tennille when I was a kid. She was a talented hottie!

So sorry that she and Daryl divorced in 2014, but they still remained as close friends.
So much about love will keep them together?

I'll never forget Dr. Hook's "Cover of the Rolling Stone", "I got stoned and I missed it" and "Sylvia's mother". Those were AM radio gold back in the day. Great memories.

I used to love Super Dave's sudden angry stare at the audience whenever they laughed at his comments about his "stunts" that always went wrong.

I used to watch the occasional pro wrestling match.

Yes, LOL, I know it was all faked/choreographed. Didn't make it any less fun to watch. It always cracked me up that people would chide me for watching something so fake, only to see them watching stuff like Gilligan's Island, My Favorite Martian, My Mother the Car, Mister Ed, I Dream of Jeannie, etc etc etc. What, that stuff was "realistic"?

RIP Mean Gene.

They stayed together. Apparently the divorce was to shield her finances from his medical bills.

I was so sad to hear this one yesterday. I loved Super Dave in the 80s. Had no idea that Albert Brooks was his brother though.

The wrestlers were pretty fair actors in their own right. It was fun to watch Hogan and Savage talk about how much they hated each other, then the next night they were in a TV show together on another channel.

Yup, or right after the televised matches they'd all be out at the local bar buying each other drinks.

He did some work on Curb Your Enthusiasm also as Marty Funkhouser. I love that show.

Amen. Men have pro wrestling and woman have Soap Operas.
I met Mr. Kennedy once at the Green Bay best buy, it was a promo and autograph thing for his movie.
Really nice guy and very grateful. I mentioned to him that yeah pro wrestling might be 'fake' per sei, choreograph ed and scripted(it of coarse got his attention) BUT(which I emphasized) IT HAS TO BE. To do what you guys do day in and day out AND NOT KILL EACH OTHER, that takes incredible talent, training, conditioning, and dedication. You have to be a world class athlete and dedication to do what you guys do. He nodded his head and says, yes, it does. I think a lot of people need to understand this aspect.

That's sad that we live in a world where they'd have to do that for medical bills.

Thanks for the info.

Tune was pretty good! Loved the brass section when they came in! They even had some violins, too! They only show the band though.

Oh man, I loved Dr. Hook! My sister and I saw them as the opening act for someone (canít even remember who it was now) a long time ago and they were so funny and great musicians at the same time. Didnít know who they were at the time but ended up going out and looking for their records!
