An iconic commercial from the '70s/'80s with 'Bama coach Paul W. "Bear" Bryant. It says all that needs to be said.

(And it may be apocryphal, but legend has it that after first airing this on a mother's day was bellsouth's busiest day ever)

Best Memory of my (step)mom: Cooking, and "canning season".

Cooking? For most of my teen years, she worked an office job. Came home same time as my dad and then in 30 minutes flat could put together a dinner that was ALWAYS edible and sometimes ranged into Great. Rachel Ray has NOTHING on my stepmom. Sundays and holidays? Above and beyond. Sundays, usually a slow roast in the oven while we were at church, then fix all the trimmings once we got home.

♪♫... Sunday roast, always good to eat...♫♪

Canning Season? Hard work, but last I heard that never killed anyone. Stuffing blanched tomatoes, peaches, green beans, whatever into a jar.

Worst memory? No. Today's not the day for that.

Though I WILL mention, as an aside, that I am NEVER going to "DO" a woman's hair again. Mooshing toxic chemicals into hair (There's a REASON you have to wear gloves), letting it sit, then rinsing out over the kitchen sink? That food is prepared in? I think I was probably 12 YO when I decided that I was never going to be Gay or a Hairdresser. LOL
