Bernie Sanders Gets 2 Stents In Blocked Artery After Experiencing Chest Pain

Washington Examiner
by Emily Larsen
October 02, 2019 10:51 AM

[Too short to excerpt]

Bernie Sanders experienced chest discomfort at a campaign event on Tuesday evening and received two stents after the discovery of blockage in one artery, his campaign said.

“During a campaign event yesterday evening, Sen. Sanders experienced some chest discomfort. Following medical evaluation and testing he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were successfully inserted. Sen. Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days. We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates,” Sanders senior adviser Jeff Weaver said in a statement on Wednesday.

The 78-year-old Vermont senator is the oldest presidential primary candidate seeking the Democratic nomination.

This will almost guarantee Warren the nomination. Hope he doesn't die.

I'm pretty sure he's going to die. The question is when...

The death rate is 100%! We have to do something about it. Think of the women and children!

Let's not forget about death inequality. Some people live longer than others. We need a maximum life law!

I wonder if that is contributing to the market's decline today. They see Elizabeth Warren as the runaway winner now that Bernie has medical issues and Biden has issues?

Bernie Sanders Suspends Campaign, To Be Treated for Blocked Artery
Posted 11:14 am, October 2, 2019, by CNN Wire, Updated at 11:16AM, October 2, 2019

Sen. Bernie Sanders experienced “chest discomfort” on Tuesday night and will suspend campaigning “until further notice” after doctors treated a blockage in an artery, senior adviser Jeff Weaver said in a statement Wednesday morning.

I'm not sure that the headline is accurate. Other sites are reporting that merely campaign "appearances" and/or "events" are being suspended.

It makes a difference because "suspended" has a specific meaning in campaign finance law; it generally means halting everything involving ANY sort of expenditure or fundraising.

Chest pains. His policies give me pains in my butt where my wallet sits, and I doubt the pain will be easily fixable if he gets elected.
