ISIS Already Has A New Leader In Former Saddam Hussein Officer

New York Post
By Lee Brown
October 28, 2019 | 8:16am

Excerpt:

ISIS already has a new leader — a feared former officer for Saddam Hussein known as “the Destroyer,” according to reports.

Abdullah Qardash was reportedly already running day-to-day operations and kill campaigns for the terror group and formally took over its leadership after Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s death on Saturday.

“Baghdadi was a figurehead. He was not involved in operations or day-to-day,” a regional intelligence official told Newsweek in confirming the successor. “All Baghdadi did was say yes or no — no planning.”

Qardash had been loyal to Baghdadi after they were held together at the Camp Bucca detention center in Basra after being jailed by US forces over their links to al Qaeda in 2003, the Times of London has said.

Even before his death, Baghdadi was handing more power to Qardash, known as a brutal policymaker whose name is sometimes spelled Kardesh, the Times said.

A former security analyst with the Iraqi government, Fadhel Abo Ragheef, told the paper in August that Baghdadi was understood to be “trying to prepare Qardash to lead ISIS in the future.”

Researchers at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore also stated that Qardash would be the successor, noting that he was known as both “the Professor” and “the Destroyer.”

“Described by some security analysts as cruel and authoritarian yet popular and well-respected among other IS members, Qardash was responsible for eliminating those who are against al-Baghdadi’s style of leadership,” the researchers said.

The new leadership comes amid fears that Baghdadi’s death may unleash a fresh round of terror campaigns.

Not a big surprise, now the target is on his forehead. It's a generational war.

We should rejoice that leadership in WWII worried so much about how attacks, campaigns, and actions would have only served to make the Nazi's, Imperial Japanese and Fascist Italians hate us even more and seek reprisals. Oh wait..... Hey didn't we win that War?

the "woke" people today says that we were evil to actually win the war because after a closer look at their ideology it corresponds with the "woke" peoples views today.

So when the belgian malinois chases Abdullah Qardash down his hide-y hole and old Ab blows himself up whimpering--will Al Jezeera sneer, "you didn't kill him. He was already dead!"?

I own a Belgian Malinois. Let me assure you, if one was chasing you, you would run also (though no way you would escape).

(edit)

OK, let me rephrase, I have a Belgian Malinois that allows me to reside in his home

Baghdadi had nothing to say about anything? Really? I am sure he was sitting around saying man I got great LT's just wandering around doing my work! That's why the guy got splattered 4 hours after right? It's called SE (Site Exploitation), one whole Chinook of garbage bags worth of stuff that various agencies pour through as fast as they can to determine the next and next and next targets. Turn around time is fast and you start getting more and more dead for a while after. That organization much like when we got the other turd years ago was a trove of information and a line of dead.

But hey "serious people" want you to know that killing this guy was not a big deal. Then why did we waste the resources tracking him for 8 years?
