Republican Tate Reeves Wins Mississippi Governor Race

Mississippi Clarion Ledger
Luke Ramseth and Giacomo Bologna
Updated 11:09 p.m. CT Nov. 5, 2019

Excerpt:

Republican Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves won the race for Mississippi governor Tuesday night, defeating Democratic Attorney General Jim Hood.

Republicans were on track Tuesday to control all statewide elected offices in Mississippi and are expected to maintain super-majority control of the Legislature.

In incomplete and unofficial results, Reeves led Hood on Tuesday night 53% to 46%.

After a race filled with attack ads, Reeves took a conciliatory tone in his victory speech in downtown Jackson.

We all know that campaigns are necessarily tough. Battles in the Legislature can be tough," Reeves said. "But we only have one governor. And that one governor must serve one people and that means all the people of Mississippi.

Reeves noted he disagreed with Hood on issues, but called him a dedicated public servant and asked the crowd to applaud Hood.

Hood conceded the race at about 10:30 p.m., telling supporters, "We've run a good race. I appreciate your support, and we've had fun."

Some good news coming out of today at least. VA/KY were starting to make it look pretty bleak.

Someone needs to find the rodeo clown who was fired for wearing the Obama mask and see if he wants to run for something.

She's got some severe mental issues. The perfect Democrap.

Quote

Briskman is a longtime resident of the county, which borders Washington, DC, and in October 2017, was cycling past the president's motorcade as it was departing the Trump National Golf Course. A news photographer caught her flipping off the line of SUVs escorting Trump, and the photo went viral.
At the time, she was upset by Trump's plan to end the immigration policy Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) as well as his response to the disaster in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria.

Yes, lunacy runs abound in Virginia. Especially the northern swamp infested part.

So, making rude gestures to the president qualifies somebody for office?

It would make sense. We already have a carnival barker in the White House.

Yeah VA is totally owned by the Federal Government and the marxist running it. Imagine a east coast San Fran/LA vibe, super rich and craptastically poor all voting Dem while the middle gets silenced into owernship.

This just in, blacks keep wondering how they are still slaves even though they monotonically vote for the enslaving party.

Good job LB, keep ensuring your race rides the back of the government hand out bus! Move back another seat, there is another protected class that has to ride up front. Namely illegals.

Speaking truth to power, you know!?! But only when that "power" is a Republican, when it's a marxist silence NOW!

Way to play the race card.
Ive never been a slave.
Unlike you, Im not hopelessly devoted to a political party.
Other than unemployment, Ive never taken a government handout.
Monroe County is at least 70% white.

Better a carnival barker than an outright traitor, like his predecessor.

Yeahhhhhhh I bet you have voted Republican in some of your elections. Since I have been able to vote (1987) there has not been a Democrat I would EVER vote for. They have all been marxists going back as far as the 30s. If you had actually read Karl Marx and what he recommended you would never vote Democrat either. I guess 26 years in the military also shaped that view since every crap-tastic country I have ever set foot into was marxist in one shape or way. Misery seems to be the way of Marx, but you and yours want to drag our nation in there kicking and screaming about fairness. Never once realizing that the only real fairness the rich are pushing you to is one where we are all kept in misery, fairly while they live off of our efforts.

Race card my butt. I am speaking of a mental slavery that has kept you in mental chains all the while. Oh and there have been more white slaves and chinese slaves historically than any black slaves. So meh race card my butt.
