Millennial Influencer: WW2 Studies Too 'Intense' for Young Students

<More NOT The Babylon Bee Here>

A millennial "influencer" and reality TV star is catching heat in Britain for suggesting that schools there tone down their teaching about World War II and focus more on things that are relevant in today's day and age.

Instagram celebrity Freddie Bentley, 22, appeared on ITV's "Good Morning Britain" show and told the hosts that subject is "too intense" for young students and schools should be devoting more time to topics like Brexit and climate change.

"Instead of focusing so much on our history and holding on to this past … we can let it go a little bit. I'm not saying get rid of it totally, but let it go a little bit and replace it with a subject that is going to be more relevant," Bentley said. "I don't think encouraging death or telling how many people died in a world war is going to help."

Bentley also suggested that schools put more emphasis on practical subjects like personal finance.

His comments didn't go over well in the United Kingdom, which lost 383,000 soldiers and nearly half a million civilians between 1939 and 1945. Viewers of the show, firing back on Twitter in response to the video posted, were left gobsmacked.

"They sit there playing war games on their PlayStations and X-boxes and then tell us they get traumatized by history lessons?" wrote one, "God help us with these fools as the adults of tomorrow."

"Nearly half a million civilians"? That must be a typo. Approximately 50,000 British civilians died during the Second World War. A toll of 500,000 would have to include deaths elsewhere in the British Empire such as India.

It is their sense of moral superiority, based on their addled belief that they are somehow oppressed.

If this cretin is an influencer, then there's a significant problem with the youth of today and adults of tomorrow.

For this imbecile to sit there and spew that bilge is outrageous and highly offensive and his grandparents should have a long talk with the little skidmark.

I cannot think of a more suitable response.

I heard a commentator state a few months back:

"Back in the day, remember the screaming kids in the carts or the ones ramming said carts into your ankles, and you found yourself saying 'just wait until they grow up'? Millennials grew up"

Cut from the same beta-make, white guilt pansy cloth as Hogg.
