Biden Mistakenly Claims 'Millions Of People' Cross Into Bolivia From Venezuela

Washington Examiner
by Madison Dibble
January 10, 2020 03:46 PM

Excerpt:

Joe Biden incorrectly claimed that millions of people fled Venezuela by crossing into Bolivia, even though the two countries do not border each other.

During an interview with the editorial board of the Des Moines Register, the 77-year-old former vice president stumbled through a discourse on South America and Venezuela in particular. Claiming he helped design the plan that the United States implemented in Colombia, he said he would impose a stronger U.S. presence in South America.

In his answer, Biden confused Bolivia with one of the nations that border Venezuela, saying, “I’m the guy that put together the plan in Colombia, straightening that government out for a long while. Now what’s happening? Millions of people are crossing the border and destabilizing Bolivia. Already destabilizing the Amazon, but, you know, Brazil. Dealing with what’s going on in Colombia.”

He called Trump’s policy in Venezuela “irresponsible,” adding, “We’re sitting here with our thumb in our ear.”

Bolivia does not border any part of Venezuela, as more than 700 miles of Brazil separates the two countries. It is not clear which of the bordering nations to which Biden was referring, but the Council on Foreign Relations noted that Peru and Colombia have taken in the most Venezuelan refugees over the past few years.

Dementia on display.

I could see this idiot accidentally transmitting the nuclear launch codes while sniffing some young girl's hair.

He recently said that "Iran's parliament voted to eject all Americans and coalition forces from the country".

It was actually Iraq's parliament.

Slip up aside, does anyone, leftist as well, think this guys foreign policy would be anything but a cluster fun park?

Presidents have the most control over foreign policy. Joe would be an unmitigated nightmare.

I do hope he gets the nomination. But at this rate, even democrats have to be seeing what a train wreck this clown is.

Even more, who would vote for such an obviously mental defective, stupid and senile person to occupy the office of the Presidency? This is scary, either he'd be in charge (scary enough) or someone else you have no idea who they are would be using him like a ventriloquists dummy, also scary.

We both know that at least 40% of those voting would still cast votes for uncle joe.

Did Biden just admit that mass migration destabilizes host countries?

Yeah, like, y'know, man, It's a "crisis" and all. Bolivia has, like, y'know, LITERALLY "dozens" at risk.

(Okay, so I'm not exactly Dennis Hopper, Y'know, man?)

EtA: Anti-Maduro Venezuelan migrants say they fear expulsion from socialist Bolivia; I could probably count them all, without EVEN taking my zapatos off.

Remember, Biden's smarter than you. Just ask, he'll tell you.

Actually, you don't even need to ask, he'll still tell you.
