Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Sunday that a Wall Street where profits increase, but everyday wages do not is a perfect example of an unfair economic system she often speaks against.

"The Dow soars, wages don't," the New York Democrat tweeted. "Inequality in a nutshell."

The freshman lawmaker was reacting to news that the Dow had soared past 29,000 for the first time.

AOC describes herself as a Democratic socialist and spends much of her time online railing against big investment banks and the highest-earning Americans.

Yeah because retirement accounts are not based on these things. Hell even starbucks offers a 401k with matching up to a certain percent.

Remember she has a degree in International Relations and Economics....Cum Laude.....from Boston University......and with that knowledge she singlehandedly defeated the Amazon dragon from bringing 25,000 jobs to her district with the holy hand grenade of Antioch.....

What a fracking moron....

Marxist idiots like AOC want all companies to be employee owned. What hasn't occurred to her is that there is absolutely nothing in our current capitalist system preventing someone from forming an employee owned company. Employee owned companies are rare because people with the ambition and ability to create a company are rare. Nobody wants to work 100 hours per week starting a company just so they can share the rewards with some slacker who shows up late and doesn't give a <censored> about the company.

Want to be part owner of the company you work for? Get a job with a publicly traded company and buy some stock.

I've never had a "high-income" job. But I've been putting money (with employer match) into retirement for about 25 years. Last year the stock market did well enough that the increase in my retirement fund was larger than my annual salary. How does the fact that Warren Buffet's net worth increased more than mine did hurt me? I'm still better off than I'd be if the stock market tanked.

Every time she opens her mouth, she just proves that she is as dumb as a box of rocks. At least rocks are useful. You would think Boston University would be embarrassed by her stupidity, but they must be proud of her. That is what they teach at that diploma mill, I guess. Pretty scary.

Q - What's the difference between the Panama Canal and AOC?

A - One's a busy ditch, and the other's a dizzy bitch.
