Coronavirus Forces Ohio To Delay Primary And Will Likely Put Democratic Presidential Race On Hiatus

Washington Examiner

Excerpt:

The coronavirus outbreak has forced Ohio to delay its primary on Tuesday, which is a strong sign that the Democratic presidential race is likely going on hiatus for a while.

Ohio is one of four important primary states scheduled to vote on Tuesday and was expected to allow front-runner Joe Biden to pile on more delegates, making the math even more daunting for Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Just a day before the primary, Gov. Mike DeWine announced that it would be impossible to hold a primary without violating new CDC guidance limiting gatherings to under 50 people. Beyond the crowds, in-person voting is an added concern because many of the workers at polling stations tend to be older and thus are more vulnerable to having a more severe form of the disease.

The state will now be accepting absentee ballots for the next few months but is delaying in-person voting until June 2.

As of this writing, Illinois, Florida, and Arizona are still planning on going ahead with their primaries on Tuesday. But Georgia delayed its primary until May and Louisiana also until June. Both had been scheduled to vote in the coming weeks.

Given how quickly events are moving, even if the rest of tomorrow's primaries go ahead, it's becoming more likely that other states will delay theirs.

The coronavirus has already effectively sabotaged the Democratic presidential campaign.

:wtf:

Beshear has gone apeshidt over this.

So has the Louisville Metro city mayor and government and most other democrap occupied city officials.

They are forcing bars and sit down restaurants here to close.

This will wipe out the small businesses and it appears to be all on purpose. The big businesses are all insured against this and they will make out like bandits once all of their competition has been eliminated.

His talk is but that part of reducing those working in state gov by 50% to reduce the chances of the state workers getting sick is all hog wash it is still open to the public. May be accurate for the big wigs not showing up for work but the every day peon is at work and in a building with wall to wall public people coming in.

The SOB has just ordered all child day care centers closed by this Friday! :insanity:

How in the hell are parents going to be able to go to work if they have nobody to watch their kids?

BTW, I went to the county clerk's office today to renew a vehicle registration at noon.

There was no waiting, no lines. I was in and out of there within 15 minutes. A first ever.

The usual wait is an hour and a half when attempting this during lunch time.

This shidt has been planned.

This is what they have intended to destroy Trump's booming economy and hide it all behind a man made illness.

Those responsible for this need to be brought to justice and pay dearly for it.

I predict that this will cause an uproar and rage never before seen in this country since before the civil war.

People are going to become SOOOOOOOOO PISSED!
