Madonna Thanks France for Opposing Iraq War
On May 7, 2003, Pop star Madonna put on a private performance for 200 guests of a radio station in Paris and thanked France for its opposition to the Iraq war. But for those not invited to the venue the concert was broadcast by the radio station live over the internet and to nine European countries. She told her fans:

Quote

“Here in France I feel at home.”

Bush's Language is More Offensive than Eminem's
Madonna has defended controversial rapper Eminem in a letter to a US newspaper - saying she finds the language of George W. Bush much more offensive.

Quote

"Since when is offensive language a reason for being unpopular? I find the language of George W much more offensive."

"I like the fact that Eminem is brash and angry and politically incorrect. At least he has an opinion. He's stirring things up, he's making people's blood boil, he's reflecting on what's going on in society right now. This is what art's supposed to do.

"And after all, he's just a boy," she said of the 28-year-old

Madonna's Violent, Anti-War Video is just plain Halfwitted
Madonna says her video, "American Life" is not Anti-Bush.

Quote

"It is not me being anti-Bush, it's me being ironic and tongue in cheek."

Here's a description of her half-witted attempt at irony. If it was not released during a war her country was fighting, it would be laughable:

Quote

The final scene of the video features Madonna throwing a hand grenade into an audience. It is caught by a man. Camera pans back. He looks a lot like Dubya. The Dubya character flicks the top of the grenade to reveal a cigarette lighter. He lights his cigar and then gives a big cheesy smile to the camera.

Madonna most definitely is making a statement about George Dubya.

In other scenes we see Madonna standing though the sun roof of a army camouflaged coloured mini Cooper (nice product placement) operating a sub machine powered hose. As she shoots the streams into the crowd, the clip juggles between scenes of fighter planes bombing the crap out of a city.

While the emergency edit removed the bloodied babies and limbless people from the clip the Iraqi children remained, although we are told they were not really Iraqi children. Well, young actors dressed as Muslims anyway.

Twisted Mind
In the George Inaugural Issue, OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 1995, Madonna wrote:

Quote

"If I were President, Howard Stern would get kicked out of the country -- and Roman Polanski would be allowed back in!"

So how does "President Madonna" justify ejecting Citizen Stern for exercising his constitutional right to free speech -- but welcoming a foreigner who was 44 when convicted of raping a 13-year-old American child he plied with drugs and booze? She says:

Quote

"because artists are allowed to make mistakes and have unconventional ideas . . . !"

Madonna’s America-bashing

Madonna has taken some heat lately for supposedly bashing her adopted country, England, but those stories have it all wrong. It’s the U.S. she can’t stand.
The “American Life” star recently gave an interview to the BBC, and a source says Madonna made some pretty harsh comments about her native country — which were all edited out of the show that was broadcast.

Quote

“Madonna said that most Americans are rude and obnoxious,” says a source. “She said that Americans are upset with her for having abandoned that country for England.
And she’s clearly no fan of American president George Bush. But for some reason, all those comments were left on the editing room floor.”
A BBC spokeswoman says she cannot comment on what was left out of the interview, and Madonna’s spokeswoman didn’t return calls.
