Got that ? My copyright statement says "...brief quotations only, no excerpts, web-site postings of excerpts, or extended passages..." My book places me in a different category than the amateurs and disaffected types who post to blog sites, not unlike spray-painting their name on a wall to let the world know they exist. My lawyer says the agreement with the publisher places me in a category of intellectual property and content not extended to people who just post opinions in Cyberspace. Amateur, hardly. See my book when it is published - you can even get a free HTML copyrighted version when it comes out as I have allotted one hundred such copies. Look, the inane comments posted on your site in response to my article in no way add to the topic, enlighten anyone or add to the collective intellect. I honestly don't see any useful discourse occurring on your site, though there are many opinions and inane comments by many who are, apparently, intellectually lazy. From all appearance you traffic in many people with way too much time on their hands. Were the appearance of your site otherwise, I would gladly give permission. Your site is in no way a equal to, or a counterpart to *****, which has many professional and published authors writing for the site. I do one site and one site only - ***. Only *** regulars get any more than time of day - in fact, they get every courtesy I can extend. | Death Threats ? You demonstrate my point and underscore my concern about being associated with extremist blogger sites but, apparently, fail to get it or otherwise catch on to what I am saying. I have no death threats but many have disagreed - and they get the courtesy a reasoned response - not a rude series of comments by anonymous bloggers on a blogger site, people too ashamed to post a real name or take responsibility for what they say. And that is exactly the problem with the dog-eat-dog blogging universe... After seeing your site, I completely understand why you and your staff may be having problems with individuals wishing to do you bodily or remunerative harm. You can also kill that annoying account I had to create to post a violation notice - was convinced I'll be sold to SPAMMERS over that... |

| That blogger site deleted my article that had been thinly edited and posted as an "excerpt". I suppose you can ignore the earlier Email - I am just concerned that those annoying, extremist blogger sites would feel free to copy/paste my articles, which are exclusively for your ****. I looked around the Blogger section of RighNation.us and it's the usual mish-mash of rudeness and irresponsible adults who believe the anonymity of a screen name is a license to be insulting and rude. Some guy named "Mark" at RightNation.US said you will likely be angry that you are deprived of the site traffic you could get by my stuff being copy/pasted to their site by the intellectually lazy. Thought you would get a chuckle from that - them plagiarizing MY stuff would hurt YOU. Unbelievable ! Stranger things happen... |
