Guys-

Some friends of mine in Hollywood started an effort to get boxes of DVDs to our men and women in Iraq to help entertain them and keep spirits up during downtime.

Here is the latest letter from Iraq:

I know this letter is long overdue, but since I've recovered your
letter, I wanted to say thank you for the box sent back in the summer.
Not long after your package arrived, I took command of a motorized
infantry company, and distributed your thoughtful gift of movies out to
my soldiers. The day after, 2/3 of our building cought fire and burned
up, luckily no one was injured, mostly just personal items lost and
such. Well, I just recovered your soot covered leter today, having
previously thought it was lost, and I wanted to thank you for your
generosity. My soldiers have put your movies to good use, and I kept
the special "bunny" one for myself.

Some quick info about us, my men and I are directly responsible for
patrolling the streets of Bayji, Iraq. Bayji is located at the tip of
the Sunni Triangle, just north of Tikrit, in the homeland of Saddam.
Unfortunately we have made the news a couple times with terrist attacks
and the loss of soldieres, however we remain vigilant each and every day
to keep the bad guys out and order in this chaotic environment. We not
only conduct offensive operations against insurgents, but also provide
humanitarian relief efforts to civilians, work directly with the local
police (providing training and guidance), and secure the main routes to
ensure safety of both civilans and military traffic. Every day is a new
adventure, however our days are numbered with the news of finishing our
mission sometime in February.

I hope to continue a correspondence, and I will try and reciprocate your
generosity with something special from my unit. I've attached a couple
of pics, one of me with some kids and the other of my guys in action.
I'm gonna owe Chuck a couple of shots for linking us up.

Thanks again and God bless,

Mike

This is really nice. I hope as many come back safely as possible.

I have one question, though.

Did someone send "The Brown Bunny" to them? (It's just not the movie I was envisioning our soldiers with.)

Think Hefner.

You mean they weren't sent "Harvey" staring Jimmy Stewart? Now that is a good "bunny" movie   I actually new what he meant by referring to a "bunny" movie, but shouldn't he be sharing it with all the guys?
