I’m an Independent! Kerry is the lesser of two evils. In spite of repeated warnings by Clark and Tenant before 9/11, the Bush Administration, either intentionally or through inattention, ignored the potential danger of a terrorist attack. The first is treason, the second incompetence! The invasion of Iraq was planned by the Neo-Cons even before the election. It was not a war of last resort, but one engineered mainly to maintain a presence in the Middle East to protect Israel and satiate America’s desire for cheap oil. The 9/11 Commission found no connection between Saddam and the terrorists. There were no WMD found in Iraq. Hans Blix was apparently doing a good job there. The rush to war was not only immoral, but illegal as well. Although some Americans believe otherwise, the fabrication was a tactic designed to divert the people’s attention from bin Laden and al Qaeda. You will find very few who buy the lie overseas, but then they don’t have Fox News. In terms of the taxpayer’s money spent on the war, the cost of oil to the American people far exceeds the $50+ per barrel that they are now paying. If things are not turned around, we will all soon wake up to a nation bankrupted by war and wartime casualties, and a growing world of hate and revenge toward Americans and American colonialism. Perhaps only then, looking back on it, will the folly and deceit of this Administration become clear. I have watched in awe as the President and Vice President attempt to frighten the American people into voting for them. Historically this worked in places like Russia and pre-war Germany. This Administration was warned before 9/11, but did nothing. They have diverted our money and manpower to Iraq, which was of little threat. Bush and Cheney, along with their “Security Advisor” were disturbingly disingenuous when testifying before the 9/11 Commission. If you watched it, you know what I mean. And now we are being warned that something terrible will happen if we don’t vote for them. They didn’t protect us during their first four years, and I don’t expect them to do so now. So, I just have to vote for someone else! Here’s hoping for a better future. Sincerely, Greg
