Election Day will no doubt see some of the highest traffic this web site has ever had. While our powerful server can handle the large number of visitors we expect, in order to make sure your experience here is as smooth as possible we will be limiting some functionality on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday to reduce the processes the server must perform.

I'm not sure of all the changes yet, but I'll update or reply to this post after making the changes. No one's posting ability will be limited. We will be doing things along the lines of disabling the search feature, removing the list of people that are in a topic when you are, etc. These types of things use extra system resources.

In addition, we will be creating a temporary forum just for Election Day topics, so you won't have to hunt around the site so much.

Many of you are "guests" and have not registered an account with RightNation.US. You are still able to read the main forums as a guest. HOWEVER, I may make a change for Election Day that requires guests to register and log in in order to read the forums, thus reducing the hit on the server. If you are a guest and are planning on visiting us tomorrow, you should register now to be ready.
