Hello there. I'm sure you get a lot of random hate mail with massive abuse, which is obviously insanely hypocritical and, well, possibly written by halfwits. Well, maybe I too am a halfwit, but, whatever... I'm not sure what I'm doing in the hate section, to be honest, since I don't hate you.. hate's not really a good thing, leads to war, don't you think?
I found your site interesting reading. While I agree that some of the comments made by these celebrities are often unfounded and based on a misunderstanding of the facts (or made-up facts), it has to be said that many of them are simply valid interpretations of the facts - the same facts, perhaps that you have access to.
The problems I have with ALL governments, not just the US, is that all their decisions appear to be made based on their country's own diplomatic and/or economic interests. Perhaps there are a few cases of altruism, but these are few and far between. This often gives rise to crazy hypocrisy - why is it OK for a government to bomb a country because they're a threat, yet it would be wrong for them to bomb us because we're a threat? We only want to defend our back yard. The war in Iraq was about Weapons of Mass Destruction, wasn't it, not freeing the Iraqis? Wasn't the war in Afganistan about capturing bin Laden not freeing the Afghans? [The latter would of course be a noble cause, but politics is never that simple].
Now Saddam Hussein was clearly a bad man, who needed deposing. But wouldn't it've been easier to do it in 1991 when he was weak? No... because wasn't that war about getting him to get out of Kuwait? And why don't we depose North Korea's regime? We know for definite that they have nuclear weapons! But hang on, they aren't a threat to us economically though, are they? Or at least, thats how it seems to me.
etc etc etc
I'm pretty sure that this was a bit incoherant but thanks for readng it if you did.
