"I don't do violent films"
Coming from a man who has made millions starring in violent films:

Quote

"Well, I don't do violent films. I would not be unhappy to see a mood change in what Hollywood turns out and what the public chooses to see. I'd like scripts with a more positive message. Storylines that give people something to hope for in place of the current diet of repetitive violence and retribution. I think we all need to focus on stories that raise the barrier to a higher level of emotion."

Ford: Regime Change Begins at Home
The New York Daily News cleared up conflicting reports of Harrison Ford's stance on the potential war with Iraq. The paper said numerous reports found Ford opposing the antiwar letter to Bush in December from the celebrity group Artists United to Win Without War.

Quote

Speaking through his manager Patricia McQueeney, Ford said his feelings are "exactly the opposite" of what's been reported. She told the Daily News that Ford was "appalled by the idea" that anyone would think he supports a war with Iraq."

"That's not to say that he doesn't want Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein out of power. In fact, he wants Bush out of power, too."

"What I'm for is a regime change on both sides," Ford told the Daily News through McQueeney.

Ford mocks the President...
In his State of the Union address in January 2003, the President listed, among other things, an initiative to prevent forest fires as evidence of his efforts to protect nature.

Quote

"That was a fascinating construction of the President's," Ford told us, tongue firmly in cheek. "About how he was safeguarding the environment. It was very interesting."

Ford Mocks Bush.
Published on 02/10/03 at 23:24:26 PST by Admin

At a preview of his new film, “Hollywood Homicide,” actor and environmentalist Harrison Ford decided to take some sarcastic jabs at the Presidents "say one things do another" environmental policy.

To the star of such action-packed films as "Indiana Jones and Air Force One" its all about walking the walk. Which is why he likes to take matters into his own hands when it comes to the Environment. Using his personal helicopter, Ford routinely watches over the Hudson River and blows the whistle on polluters.

Now he's blowing the whistle on Dubya. In his State of the Union Speech Bush spoke about an initiative to prevent forest fires, by cutting down all the trees. And he praised some of the programs (he cut) that help the environment and the economy, such as hydrogen-fueled cars, which wont be available for 50 years thanks in part to his administration.

Quote

“That was a fascinating construction of the President's,” Ford sarcastically told the New York Daily News, “about how he was safeguarding the environment. It was very interesting.”
