First thing I would eliminate is overseas aid to nation-states undeserving of such aid
The gift of aid is not a right, nor is debt relief garunteed just because "we" have more than You.
Second Item would be a complete overhaul of domestic aid, with a eye to total elimination after hefty reductions. Food stamps would be run similar to the WIC program, no premaid meals, cokes, sweet cereals, choice cuts of meat, or TV dinners. If You are receiving aid You aren't working so You should have plenty of toime to make a real meal instead of microwaving a slop fest every night. Snacks would be bought as raw ingredents, and assembled at home, abd koolaid would be the beverage of choice for the little ones. I am offended when I see the little card used to buy meats, and fish that I cant afford, but I work 40+ hours a week and one job, and 15 or more every week at the other, and still serve a lot of hamburger.
Third Item, would be a automatic 6mos in county lock up upon conviction of a DWI, 1yr for a DUI, and 2 yrs for a accident involving alcohol with out injuries. If your employer wants you back, so be it, if not oh well. I am a firm believer that stupid is as stupid does and actions have consequences. The loss of freedom, along with loss of property should keep you out of trouble for a while.
Fourth and final item would involve national CCW standards to include federal reservation(Military Bases), and FAA controled area(Airports/Airplanes), after completing a "AirMarshal" equivalant course Flash the carry permit, prove pre-fragmented ammo, and proceed to ticketing, I would pay for the course if this could be done, and I dont fly commercial but mayube once every other year.
