Librarian who rejected Melania Trump's Dr. Seuss books dressed as 'Cat in the Hat'

FoxNews.com

Excerpt

Horton hears a hypocrite.

The Massachusetts elementary school librarian who rejected Dr. Seuss books donated by First Lady Melania Trump because the publication’s artwork contained “racist mockery,” was previously photographed dressed as the Cat in the Hat and holding a “Green Eggs and Ham” themed breakfast.

Liz Phipps Soeiro was busted Friday by Twitter users after she snubbed the First Lady’s donation to the Cambridgeport Elementary School. Soeiro wrote in a letter to Trump that the school could not accept the books, which included: “The Cat in the Hat,” “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” and “Green Eggs and Ham.”

Yet Soeiro was seen in a March 2015 photo from the school's Twitter account holding a Cat in the Hat doll in one hand, a Green Eggs and Ham book in the other and Dr. Seuss-style stockings and hat -- and smiling while doing so.

Hypocrite indeed.

If you haven't read Mrs. Trump's donation letter and then this ugly wench's response, you owe it to yourself to see just how smug, petty and outright condescending this person is...in rejecting a book donation from the FLOTUS! Surreal....

Buckle up

Just - wow.

She's really .... Cambridgeport. (Ungroomed hair, shapeless dress, unshaven pits, birkenstocks, Prius.)

People like that ARE 'the children'. I think we've somehow landed on the unnamed planet from the original Star Trek "Miri" episode.

I want to know why this Liberian, did not say thank you but there are other schools who need it more, so we will send the books to them.

No, she could not do that, she only thinks about herself and her school, so we are a rich school but why should we give the books to those who are less fortunate.

Why? That's very easily explained: It had nothing to do with the books themselves, it was purely out of the leftists' blind, mindless hatred for Trump. If the books had been donated by Obama or Hillary or any of the rest of those criminals, this librarian would've been tripping all over herself in her rush to accept them and express her gratitude.

Wasn't it "bonk bonk"?

I'm not exactly a Trekkie, so it's definitely possible I'm mistaken.

Objectively, after reading that, the school should fire her, and it has nothing to do with her silly politics. She simply showed for anyone to see, that even in a protracted piece of premeditated writing where she had time to use whatever passes for her best judgment (rather than in a semi-excusable spontaneous, momentary reaction), she just doesn’t have the professionalism, maturity, or even the social grace to desirably represent the school or be in a position of authority or a role model to children. Frankly, she’s got too much growing up to do, herself, first.

There ya go!

It's not really about the books, or this imbecile's position to accept or reject them. It's about her maturity level, and her role in that school. And she's a hypocrite, there's that. She should lose her job, and I do not say that lightly. She's put her own ideals over those of her employer, the school, those children that she's entrusted with.

I just hope the person in charge of the budget for that school keeps a copy of that letter.
