Joy Reid Panel Horrified as Liberal Guest Predicts 2020 Trump Win (FinkelBlogger)

Joy Reid was surely not expecting the answer she got when on her MSNBC show this morning she asked guest Elie Mystal “does Donald Trump serve out his full term?” After all, Mystal has liberal, nay radical roots. But to Reid’s dismay, Mystal [seen on left in screencap] responded:

“Yeah. I think he wins in 2020.”

The panel exploded in shocked horror. The guest sitting next to Mystal let out a long “wh-a-a-a-t??!!” Someone else could be heard saying “no-o-o-o.”Reid responded that the segment would end “on that frightening note.”

Amazing. They still don't get it. I'll never understand how so many people can remain so detached from reality for so long. Trump will clearly win in 2020 and it looks like they will melt down all over again.

Just what I was thinking.

They actually hate America - at least the part we live in - that much.

No one that likes DJT is watching MSNBC, unless they like pain. Then more power to them.

I watch it every day for at least an hour or so. I like to keep up with what America's enemies are up to.

It's the effect of living in a bubble. Academics are the same way.

The quote that best summed this up was uttered by some Hollyweird actress (I forget her name, and they're all interchangeable anyways) in which she didn't understand how W could have won because she didn't know anyone that voted for him.

I'm currently peeking in on (and periodically launching grenades into :P )a social media argument between a good friend and his sister in law. The level of ignorance displayed by this woman, who is in her 60s, is staggering. One has to wonder if she ever actually leaves her living room, or if she's walled up within, to the echoes of CNN/NPR/MSNBC blaring 24/7. How else to explain someone who thinks that Soros is only a philanthropist, there are only a couple of thousand illegal aliens in the country (and they don't vote), Hillary Clinton is an honest woman, Barry was the best president, etc. When I first encountered this lunatic she pissed me off. Now I just laugh at her. She's clinically delusional.

It was film critic Pauline Kael, in 1972, talking about the election of Richard Nixon.

So you drink, then?

Heavily.

Well, there might only be a couple thousand of them who don't vote. I bet a lot of them do though.

My brother and his family up in Wisconsin live in a similar bubble. They are the classic America-Hating snobby progressives who have memorized every talking point on every issue. I also enjoy "launching grenades" into my conversations with them. I recently told them that I believed the American Indians attacked the settlers first, not unlike territorial gang members. Of course they disagreed, claiming that history shows the settlers as ruthless killers attacking Indians for their food and land. They even quoted Wikipedia! I told them that they've been indoctrinated with revised history and they should read the writings of those who actually lived in those times. I told them that the Declaration of Independence refers to the Indians as merciless Indian Savages who were used by the King of Great Britain to attack the settlers. They said I was lying. It's impossible to talk to these people.

Basically, the rich liberals got theirs, but they don't want the rest of us to have a chance at prosperity.

Depressing, yes. But I'd be kept awake by not knowing what specific stupidity they're spouting on any particular day.

Sure it's always easy to predict their general attitude on any given subject: Trump is evil...America is bad...All white people are racist...All men are misogynists...Capitalism is bad, socialism is good...Only bigots condemn Muslim terrorism...And so forth. But I still wanna know which specific lies they're telling today; which specific person they're slandering; which specific violent thug they're defending; etc.

Inquiring minds want to know!

:biglaugh: Wikipedia! The modern Oracle of universal knowledge!

I am pleased that the only liberal family members that I have I don't really interact with much. The close, immediate family are all of our mindset. Makes for more pleasant holiday meals. :P

Dot be niggardly with your opinions!

Oh the irony of how pathetic our times have become.

You can get into trouble by using a real word that has an actual meaning, has been around for hundreds of years, but sounds like the most racially charged word in the English language.

But millions of young people of all races, as well as black rappers, don't get into any trouble by actually using the most racially charged word in the English language millions of time each day.

Orwell was right.

Orwell was insanely optimistic. BTW, I just bought a t-shirt that says "Make Orwell Fiction Again."
