Hillary Clinton To Be Stripped From Social Studies Curriculum In Texas

After certain historical figures were 'graded,' failed 2016 Democrat candidate didn't make the cut

Excerpt:

The Texas Board of Education on Friday voted to remove former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from the state’s social studies curriculum.

The move comes as an effort to “streamline” the social studies curriculum in the state, The Dallas Morning News first reported.

The vote, which was preliminary, came after a 15-member, board-nominated volunteer work group created a scale to grade historical figures, determining which were “essential to learn about and who wasn’t,” according to The Dallas Morning News.

To determine their choices, the group asked a series of questions about the historical figures’ background and legacy.

Clinton scored a 5 on the 20-point scale, while another figure who was also designated for removal, Hellen Keller, earned a 7.

Keller, who was blind and deaf, was known for her political activism, among other accomplishments.

“Eliminating Clinton from the requirements will save teachers 30 minutes of instructional time, the work group estimated, and eliminating Keller will save 40 minutes,” the newspaper reported.

On the other end of the scale, several historical Texas figures — such as Barbara Jordan, Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin and Henry B. González, among others — received a perfect score.

“Our task was to simplify … We tried to make it as objective as possible,” Misty Matthews, a teacher in Round Rock, Texas, told the publication, which added that high school students in the state were previously required to learn about Clinton, a former first lady and the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee.

Third-graders were required to learn about Keller.

In addition, the board voted to add Billy Graham — the famed evangelist who died earlier this year — back into the curriculum.

To mention Helen Keller and the Hildabeast in the same sentence is an outrage!

First off, I think it goes without need of explanation why Houston & Austin belong on the list. We're talking about Texas curriculum after all.

And in my opinion Jordan belongs there too, being the first black person in the Texas senate & the first southern black woman in the US house of representatives.

But Henry Gonzales? What, exactly, makes him any more noteworthy than Helen Keller (or even Hillary Clinton for that matter)?

But you're forgetting all of Hillary's firsts. She was the first FLOTUS to cover up a rape by her husband. The first to broker a deal to sell uranium to Russia.

Actually, she has done a lot for Zombies/Zombie rights.

First Zombie to run for president of the United States.

First Zombie to hold office.

First Zombie Secretary of State.

Helen Keller was more politically radical than Clinton ever was.

I don't like 'stripping' history. I don't care what 'score' the figure gets. Like it or not, Clinton is an historic figure. She was the first women nominated for president from a major political party, after all. How can one explain Trump as president without mentioning the surprise victory over her? Or Benghazi? Or her husband's scandals.

Those of you who bitched about Robert E. Lee's or Stonewall Jackson's statues being torn down are hypocrites if you support about this too. History is history. God forbid a teacher has to work 30 extra minutes in her grueling 8 month schedule. That breaks my <censored>ing heart.

I wouldn’t want her dropped from any curriculum. Her life is a perfect warning and reminder to people as a counter example of a good and honest life. I don’t want the dems to be able to let her go quietly.

I don't pay homage to the idea that someone is the first _______ to do ________ as the reason for them to be historic, sorry. What else has she done?

I don't care how politically radical Helen Keller was. Her contributions to improving the lives of the blind are what is worthy mention.

Doesn't matter if you do or not. History does. Helen Keller's 'contribution' was being a socialist radical and a shill for that philosophy. You would never have heard of her if she wasn't blind and deaf. So for one who doesn't 'pay homage' you found a pretty weak vessel to worship.

Anne Sullivan was rather remarkable, since most of the credit for Keller's dubious success and fame belongs to her. Keller was 'paid homage' because of her handicap, no other reason. She was then then used by other socialist radicals for advertisement and recruiting.

To mention Helen Keller and the Hildabeast in the same sentence is an outrage!

"Our puny sentimentalism has caused us to forget that human life is only sacred when it may be of some use to itself and to the world." - Helen Keller

She was also an advocate of physicians juries for defective babies, whatever that is.

Helen Keller was a eugenicist.

A most excellent point! It begs the question of: why then is the Hildebeast not up in front of the Senate dog and pony show along with those also accused of covering up a plethora of countless, quivering "victims" of Me,Too predation, assault and general overall ill intentioned, foaming at the mouth, werewolf-grade, sex-depraved/deprived Brett Kavanaugh's? Accessory after the fact comes to mind. I suppose we're expected to be just as stupid and blind as Diane Feinstein? Teflon Clintons, indeed.
