When your fellow Americans become your enemies because you happen to disagree with them, some people take that kind of tribalism to dangerous extremes.

Really?! When you're for open borders and dismantling ICE, that makes you something less than a "Fellow American", acts against the sovereignty of this country doesn't qualify as Patriotism...

Exactly. The search for an applicable “what about” to try and cancel out the daily vile vitriol of the modern left is all that two of our TDS leftists have.

Well that and the torn and dog-eared race card.

Willfully ignorant hypocrites.

And now they are both here.

What was that about tribalism?

In the last month or so we've had:

Children and their families be smeared on the national stage leading to death threats for wearing Trump hats

A man assaulted for wearing a Trump hat in a restaurant

A student at Berkley assaulted for being a conservative

A man fake a hate crime and blame it on Trump supporters

Do you really want to talk about labeling those we disagree with as enemies when the violence keeps cropping up time and time again coming from your side?

Yes, she is.

Oh brother. Standard BS, T_G.

Yes, those are both egregious examples. Meanwhile, your "side" lies in the MSM every single day. They support racists like BLM, CBC, Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, etc every single day. They support shameless liars and hypocrites like Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, etc, every single day. They support violent fascists like antifa every single day. They jump on innocent people like the Covington kids every single day. They jump in support of racist liars like Jussie Smollett every single day. They still pretend a violent thug like Trayvon was "stalked" and "murdered" while just "walking home" by a "racist" despite the court case proving those were ALL lies, every single day. They still lie that Trump is a "racist" and a "sexist" and a "homophobe" and an "antisemite" etc etc etc every single day, despite the fact that none of that crap is true...

...and on and on and on...

Yes, you can dig up a couple of examples. Meanwhile the political left prove themselves shameless liars/idiots/hypocrites/treasonous bastards every damn day.

Go F youself, leftist.

<_<

I could tell this leftist reprobate more, but I don't want to get in trouble.

Pot, meet kettle.

Would you like the laundry list of hundreds of violent actions from The Left towards Trump voters and GOP members in the past couple of years?

But you know this already, troll.

:exactly:

I think Donald Trump has a wonderful record of working his butt off for Americans and I also think that he's very capable of explaining this to people who don't have their minds already closed to their own prejudices.

Zing!

Since Trump took office, the FBI reported the largest spike in hate crimes since 9/11 - with race and religion as the two biggest drivers.

And I hope you'll forgive me if I don't find an equivalence between a fake crime report, or a hat knocked off someone's head, or even a punch in the face to someone like Robert Bowers being upset about a "caravan" of immigrants and taking an AR-15 and three pistols into a synagogue known for sheltering refugees and murdering eleven innocent people.

Or someone like Caesar Sayoc mailing explosive devices to President Obama, Vice President Biden, George Soros, and others believed to be Trump critics.

That said...

I acknowledge the events you're referring to and IRC there was a single (deleted) tweet about a wood-chipper for which the poster apologized. As unlikely as it was that he would ever actually attempt to do that in the first place, I can say that it was wrong for him to post that tweet - as it's also wrong to knock someone's hat off their head, to punch someone because of their political beliefs, and to file false claims with the police.

I'm still left wondering why it's so difficult for you people to simply condemn political violence without seeking some kind of rationalization or equivalence?

Conservatives condemn political violence. They’ve done so forever and gone about their lives quietly and with compassion.

BUT. The left does not condemn all violence, and they often start it, which is why you’re seeing pushback from the right. Enough is enough - get your own house in order before you moralize here!

That is not true.

From the racial discrimination claims when he was managing his daddy’s real estate company to his actions during the Central Park jogging case, starting with the full page ad agaisnt the accused, this man has had a controversial relationship with the black community, at least in NY. .

Just pointing out the hypocrisy. They see those posts and then post proving the point anyway. It is like a moth to a flame.

But never mind any of the successes he's having as president. Even now while he's trying to get N. Korea on board with the rest of the world, make a long term trade deal with China, keep up with the attacks because, wait for it... you've been told he's a racist. And besides, the actual racist who preceded him was SO much better for the country...

Yes, and it is called battery. Why should something like this be acceptable? You cherry picked the wrong one. Try again. This time, think it through. You have 688 left to choose from. Make it count

ROFLMAO

I guess "tribalist" is your newest catch-term (replacing "chambered round" and "unpaid defense team"), so I looked it up:

"an advocate or practitioner of strong loyalty to one's own tribe or social group"

LOL! My "tribe" or "social group" is one of the smallest on the planet: Classic Liberal. And sure, I have no problem acknowledging that UNLIKE you and your leftist ilk, I am indeed strongly loyal to the honest truth.

Is that supposed to be an insult? An honest objective adherence to the truth is a "bad" thing?

Feel free to call ME a tribalist.

My "Tribe"? like-minded christians around the world. Good friend is "Joseph", a christian from India. Also worth mentioning is "Matin", a muslim from Bangladesh(Give me time, I can convert him) I've more in common with EITHER of these two than the average Liberal/Socialist/Democrat in the USA.
