Mueller: Investigation was “not at any time curtailed, stopped, or hindered”

William A. Jacobson

Legal Insurrection

7/24/19

EXCERPT:

Amy Walter from the Cook Political Reported tweeted a comment on Robert Mueller’s testimony that pretty much sums up how damaging it has been to Democrats;

We are only 30 mins into this thing but I don’t think that this is going the way Democrats were hoping it would.

Robert Mueller under questioning by Republican Doug Collins admitted that the investigation was not actually obstructed:

Umm yea, Trump's people refused his corrupt orders to fire Mueller and severely limit investigation. Also known as...acts of Obstruction.

No need to be bitter that your masturbatory fantasy of Russian collusion/obstruction didn't pan out. There's always his next term. :)

Besides, the checks from the Hillary campaign to create this fantasy were cashed, so your people got paid regardless.

By Mueller's own admission, Trump had the power to fire him, but didn't. Are you really this dense? After a 2 year investigation that wasn't hindered in any way, there was no evidence of collusion! You were LIED to!!

He is used to it. He continually lies to himself.

That you believe this is actually very satisfying. I love how the left has worked themselves up in a frenzy over this. Must be very frustrating to be a leftist these days. Good.

Mueller: Investigation was “not at any time curtailed, stopped, or hindered”

Not for a lack of trying — just ask White House Counsel Don McGahn.

So Mueller’s lying when he says the investigation was “not at any time curtailed, stopped, or hindered”?

And this is my new favorite spin: Trump *thought* about firing Mueller, and since “thoughts” and “actions” are literally the same (they’re not), Trump obstructed justice.

Yes, Trump obstructed justice...with his mind. <cue creepy x-files music>

"You gotta do this. You gotta call Rod ...," Trump told former White House Counsel Donald McGahn during a June 17, 2017, phone call in which he asked McGahn to remove Mueller due to conflicts of interest.

"Call Rod, tell Rod that Mueller has conflicts and can't be the Special Counsel," Trump said during a second phone call that same day. "Mueller has to go. ... Call me back when you do it."

So you're runnin' with that. Trump obstructed justice...WITH HIS MIND!

That's some epic goalpost moving right there. Mueller himself said the investigation was “not at any time curtailed, stopped, or hindered”, but the simple act of *thinking* about obstruction now qualifies as a crime.

Really? You're gonna hang your narrative on "Thought Crimes"?

Oh please tell me that's what your doing. Please, PLEASE tell me that's what your doing. Because, as we all know from experience, this type of idiocy will never return to bite you in the ass.

TG keeps hanging on, while even NPR has given up. It was hilarious this morning. After their “news” segment, what did they talk about in morning edition? Well, they HAD to say something about the Mueller hearing. So their commentary was absolutely NOTHING about Trump and ONLY about “there was and there will be Russian interference again!” And “other actors are interfering too!” OMG!

Then NPR moved on to talk about two very important topics: saving sea turtles and prescription drug prices.

Hahahahahaha. Maybe TG should talk about turtle nesting or stone crabs next! Might do better there!

I realize it’s five o’clock somewhere, but I’m sure you remember why White House Counsel Don McGahn resigned.

Classic New Pravda Radio

Bull<censored> with cute little jazz numbers sprinkled in to make it seem sophisticated to the chattering class and academics
