And of course any government official relieved of duty by Trump is purely because of Trump retaliating against them for something, never that they were incompetent, insubordinate, and just plain useless.

Dr. Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Soon to be played by Robert Redford in All the Presidents' Lies about Covid-19.

Maybe if the CDC had been focused on, oh... I don't know DISEASES, instead of guns and social justice, we might not be in a worldwide lockdown.

The entire medical bureaucrat  cabal was and still is obsolete, corrupt and politically motivated. This fact presents the president with his diciest operation in cleaning up the mess. The media are fanatics in worship of Fauci an d company.. So President Trump has to ease the geezer out the door without being vindictive and modernize  decrepit agencies.

He will get er done.

In the book "The Hot Zone" about the outbreak of monkey ebola in Reston VA, the CDC didn't exactly cover themselves in either glory or competence, so the fact the CDC dropped the ball isn't exactly a surprise unfortunately. Another career bureaucrat type who shouldn't have been there in the first place it appears.

While one official said no change to Redfield's role is imminent, another indicated that the White House has had informal conversations about potentially replacing him at the helm of the CDC, the outlet reported. Redfield told colleagues as recently as last week that he didn't believe his job was on the line but grew concerned over the weekend that he has a target on his back, according to CNN.

He has recently clashed with Dr. Deborah Birx, a leading member of the White House coronavirus task force who took issue with the way the CDC gathers data on the coronavirus, arguing that its process is antiquated and causes inaccurate and delayed numbers on both COVID-19 cases and deaths.

Dr. Ben Carson is also on the task force. I wouldn't mind seeing him moved from HUD to CDC. As former chief of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, he could bring some much-needed private sector experience to the CDC.

On a side note, I have noticed that Redford is also rather orange when he's on camera and has been for quite some time....

The CDC has been as wrong as some of our lefties here. They need to be flushed of all the globull warming and gun control crowd. So they can go back to their actual job and that is controlling diseases.
