Pelosi Pretends To Be Smarter Than Trump, Now She Knows More Than Obama About Race Relations

Excerpt:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday blamed President Donald Trump for the escalating riots, looting, and mayhem spreading around the country in the wake of Minneapolis resident George Floyd’s death, though the Justice Department believes many incidents are the result of organized anarchists.

In an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Pelosi lamented the manner in which Floyd died after being pinned to the street by fired police officer Derek Chauvin for several minutes.

But then she also complained about several “unfortunate statements” made as initial peaceful demonstrations lapsed into widespread looting and violence.

At that point, Stephanopoulos appeared to be setting Pelosi up by asking if she was referring to the president, who has made a number of statements on Twitter in which he has ripped those who are no longer demonstrating but instead using the Floyd death as an excuse to burn, plunder, and destroy.

“No. I’m not paying too much attention to what the president says,” Pelosi responded. “I’m talking about the injustice, the knee in the neck…I kinda ignore what President Trump says.”

At that point, Stephanopoulos said the president was blaming “Left-wing” factions for much of the destruction and that he “attacked” mayors of cities where the violence was getting out of hand.

“What should the president be doing right now?” Stephanopoulos asked the Speaker.

“The president of the United States should bring dignity to the office he serves,” Pelosi began, obviously stammering. “He should be a unifying force in our country.

“We have seen that with Democratic and Republican presidents all along. They have seen their responsibility to be the president of the United States to unify our country. And not to fuel the flame, not to fuel the flame,” she continued.

“And I think to take his bait time and time again is just a gift to him because he always wants to divert attention from what the cause of the response was rather than describe it in his own terms,” she said, adding Americans “should be very prayerful about how we can come together to meet the challenges that we face, as our hearts are broken over losing 100,000 Americans — more than that — to the coronavirus tragedy.”

”Let’s be prayerful, especially on a Sunday morning, about how we can put our differences aside, because this is the greatest country in the world, and we want to live up to the legacy of America,” she said.

In fact, the president has been critical of mayors and some governors who he believes were slow to deploy additional law enforcement and National Guard personnel as rioting, looting, and assaults on innocent people grew in intensity.

Pointedly, however, Pelosi did not address any of that, nor did she ‘unify’ with the president in condemning the exploitation of Floyd’s unfortunate death as an excuse to loot and burn — including attacks near the White House and the defacing of historic monuments in the nation’s capital.

Nor did she address the fact that scores of Secret Service personnel have been injured battling crowds impinging on the White House over the weekend, and that the situation became tenuous enough at one point that Secret Service agents decided to whisk the president to an underground bunker for his protection.

Speaking of coronavirus, Pelosi has also blamed Trump for that.

“We have seen that with Democratic and Republican presidents all along. They have seen their responsibility to be the president of the United States to unify our country. And not to fuel the flame, not to fuel the flame,” she continued.

During the previous administration there was nothing BUT divisiveness at every turn, initiated, fueled and fanned by the man sitting in the Oval Office when he wasn't on vacation.

Race, income, religion, all were polarized during the 8 years of the previous administration and Pelosi was in the bus that ran over everyone that stood in the way of that agenda.

Pelosi and her leftist comrades continue to accuse President Trump of their own sins in hopes of having someone else pay the tab for them, which is, after all, the way the left operates.

Someone else always pays for their sins.

This squeaky chicken is saying that someone should bring dignity to an office? She should look in the mirror, she ran an impeachment scam that humiliated the house and the Speakers seat. Start at home granny.
