New Gallup Poll: 73% Say That Biased Reporting is a "Major Problem;"
84% Blame Country's Divisions on Media

Posted by Ace at 06:33 PM Via Red State, quoting a Fox News report:

The poll noted an increase in the percentage of Americans who see too much bias in ostensibly objective reporting as a "major problem." According to the poll, 73 percent of Americans share that belief, up from 65 percent in 2017.

Meanwhile, a stunning 84 percent of Americans agree that "the media is to blame for political division in this country," though the same percentage also believe the media "can serve as a healing force."

In perhaps the most stunning findings, almost 80 percent of Americans say news organizations they dont trust are "trying to persuade people to adopt a certain viewpoint" while just 12 percent say media outlets are trying to report "accurately and fairly but are unable to do so."

People are waking up!

:banana::chili::party:

Now kids, what do we do about it? We stop paying attention to them! Turn off the G-D TV! Stop buying their papers and magazines! You have the power of the purse! The people that run the media are greedy bastards at heart, despite their Marxist rhetoric. Want to make them hurt, ya hit them in the pocket book!

I'd like to know if the entire 12% who say that media is object are all in mental institutions, or just some? <_<

We all see how much that these "entertainers" hate all of us. They now openly come out to bad mouth and call us names. Why would anyone in their right mind ever want to do anything that gives these rotten bastards any of our money and time?

Eff em all!

It's pretty bad when you can't trust / believe the people reporting the news, but that's where we are. They're just not very good liars...

Newspapers today are the toys of billionaires. Jeff Bezos owns the Wash Post. Carlos Slim no longer owns the New York Slime, but he did for a while and rescued it from financial ruin. The Chicago Tribune is owned by a hedge fund. The Los Angeles Times is owned by a biotech billionaire, Patrick Soon-Shiong. Like William Randolph Hearst, a mining heir, they have the money to run at a loss indefinitely.

The newspapers without sugar daddies have gone out of print or severely shrunk. The New York Daily News had 400 newsroom staff in 1988. Now it has 45. (source: http://newspaperdeathwatch.com/

Newsweek famously sold for a dollar in 2010. The new owner, electronics tycoon Sidney Harman, paid the dollar but he also assumed the magazine's $47 million debt. Time Magazine is owned by an internet billionaire, Marc Benioff, who made his heap through Salesforce.com. The Atlantic Monthly is owned by Steve Jobs's widow, Laurene Jobs.

So, don't expect the left-wing media to go out of print just because they are losing audience, losing ad revenue and losing money. They have the backing of limousine liberals of almost unlimited resources. Instead, expect them to publish the limousine liberals' view of the world even if most of the public does not believe a word of it.

I know that that is how it comes out, but I think that, deep down, most of these "entertainers" hate themselves because they know they aren''t doing much more than pretending for a living and they know that they don't deserve either the adulation or the financial rewards that come from it. Tom Cruise has filled his guilt hole with Scientology. Robert Deniro fills his with hate and bile. Drugs, "causes," alcohol...Many, many of them simply fill it with bat<censored> crazy. What a perpetually whiny, angry and judgmental crew of censoreds who simply need to spend a bit more time looking in the mirror.
