The teacher unions and socialist politicians have presented a huge opportunity to President Trump, school choice should be the new civil rights cause. Public schools K-12  colleges and universities are obsolete and in many cases a hindrance to a good career. This is an opportunity to reach reach all races and the left has no defense.

Let Biden crow about union loyalty, it's another chance to go to war against the failed establishment. All parents need is to know they have support in determining how their money is used.

Can't argue against parental involvement.

If your teacher is out protesting, then they are probably pushing their marxist agenda in your child's classroom. Time to roll them up and fire them all. It will be a renaissance for Starbucks. Since all those qualified moron's can now work in those places.

I wish it were that simple.

My daughter started first grade education in the local public school system -- decent ratings, fairly new facilities. good suburban area.

Got her third quarter grades -- had a tardy on them. We live about half a mile from the school. We either dropped her off or she took the bus; never late. So my wife called to ask about it. She was told it was an excused tardy for a doctor appt. So okay -- then the lady said something to the effect "Parents never call us about his sort of thing."

Started investigating options that afternoon; she started her private school educations in 2nd grade and never looked back.

Didn't want anything to do with a school district filled with apathetic  parents.

Jordan started her college career a few weeks ago -- remote learning until September 25th. She's frustrated with the students already on campus who have created a minor Covid hot spot; potentially jeopardized her entire freshman year on campus. I won't have to worry about her doing the right thing.

Point being -- not to blow my own horn but I think you have to much faith in the average parent.

The flipside is that kids are learning more without distractions.

When you go into a trailer park and you deal with the quality of life there, you realize that people will live in any conditions they can establish for themselves as long as it meets their wants or needs. On the other hand, there is a risk to allowing the government to have too much control over any situation. There is a proper and good level of government just like there is a proper and good level of policing, they both go hand in hand. Rolling people up because they aren't in a full body condom is a good example of bad government and policing. On the other hand the best policy for the masses is self management with very small interactions with government and police.
