This year marked the 19-year anniversary of the horrific 9/11 attacks that left about 3,000 Americans dead.

Despite this tragic anniversary, millionaire NBA basketball players decided to disrespect ever single life that was lost on 9/11 as they knelt for the National Anthem.

The NFL, NBA and MLB can all go f@&k themselves.

I hope all three leagues go bankrupt and every scumbag athlete who kneels finds themselves actually having to get a real job and work for a living.

Wake Forest players had a raised black fist sticker on their helmets.  Other college teams had patches and stickers.  Some sideline coaches and crew wore t-shirts.  Even Super League rugby has BLM propaganda splashed on it.

I am pretty much done with all sports.  Professional Bull Riding is sponsored by the U.S. Border Patrol.  Also, riders are independent athletes.  They are not guaranteed money.  Also, they rely on corporate sponsors.  Slim chance that Burn, Loot, Murder will ruin bull riding.  PETA was not able to get rid of PBR twenty-five years ago.  PBR has experience handling threats and extortion.

Sports Illustrated reported in 2009 that 60% of NBA players and 78% of NFL players file for bankruptcy within five years of retiring from professional sports.  The NBA Players Association agreed with the 60% figure.  Since the average career of an NBA player is 4.5 years and an NFL player 3.2 years, this happens early in their lives.

Unfortunately, the only other craft a lot of them have learned is crime.

The boos at the NFL opener show what many in white America think of equality

by Etan Thomas  former NBA player, poet, activist and motivational speaker (according to the blurb)

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/sep/11/kansas-city-chiefs-boos-moment-of-unity-nfl-football

"I have great respect for men and women who fought for this country. I have family, I have friends who have gone and fought for this country. They fight for freedom. They fight for the people, and they fight for liberty and justice.” Those are the words of Colin Kaepernick, after he first took a knee during the national anthem in 2016. Afterwards, he spoke with media for 18 minutes explaining why he was taking a knee, what it meant and, just as importantly, what it didn’t mean. He could not have been more clear. And yet, his message was hijacked to be anti-American, anti-military, anti-white and anti-police. Even though that is the complete opposite of everything he expressed.

So from that day on, any semblance of taking a knee – and standing in unity with the movement started by Kaepernick – has been rejected by much of white America. This was on full display on Thursday night as the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Houston Texans in an NFL season opener that will be remembered for all of the wrong reasons.

Seven phrases developed by players on both teams – including star quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes – were displayed on the scoreboard at Arrowhead Stadium:

We support equality
We must end racism
We believe in justice for all
We must end police brutality
We choose unconditional love
We believe Black lives matter
It takes all of us
These messages do not denigrate the military. They do not attack white people (in fact they were endorsed by white players on both teams). They do not tell people who to vote for. They do not call for the flag to be burned. They just call for simple goals, reasonable to any right-thinking person, no matter what their race or political persuasion. And, yet, boos were heard from the crowd so loud they could be heard on television as football fans around the world watched in amazement.

Are racism and police brutality so inherently American that when you protest against them, people think you are actually protesting against America?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

No, you obnoxious, self-righteous jerk, racism and police brutality are things all men of good will would oppose.  What the fans object to is the players' sanctimonious presumption that the fans need to be told that these things are bad.  Now you have compounded the teams' virtue-signaling by claiming that the reason the fans objected to it is the fans' moral inferiority and not because the fans are sick to death of self-righteous jocks parading their political correctness.

How typical of the fascist left. Agree with me on everything, or you are a racist.  They can all go FOAD.

You can't ever get rid of racism. It's just part of human nature. Because even if we all were the same color of skin, somebody is not going to like someone for whatever reason. And sometimes for no reason at all. They just won't like them.

I'm not saying we adopt an apathetic 'oh well, that's that' attitude towards racism. Control it if we can, but don't go to extremes like these athletes who show contempt for the country that's given them an opportunity to earn a very comfortable living.

Eventually, once you get in the habit of kneeling, it becomes so much easier for when a true tyrant comes along, to place the heel of his boot on your neck.

Racism is exploited mostly by minorities to get over on others (namely white people) to get a free paid ride for everything and never be held accountable for any crimes or any damned thing at all.

What we peasants find objectionable about the anti-patriotic gestures of pampered, overpaid professional athletes is not only their anti-patriotism.  It is their condescending attitude, their sense of moral superiority and personal wisdom which they assume from their special talent at throwing a ball through a hoop.

Yeah, that.

Does anyone remember after post 9/11, you would see NFL players wearing American patches on their uniforms? Or, before the beginning of a game, some players would run the length of the field, carrying the American flag?

How did we lose our way in just twenty years?

The wailing for tolerance and understanding afterward was horribly abused to protect the leftist agenda that was gaining greater momentum under that mantle...

Etan is welcome to eat a double portion of fresh sh*t and expire promptly thereafter.

His statements clearly show that he does not grasp the bigotry in the list of seven phrases or recognizes that those very things are being used as the fodder for domestic terrorism in the streets across America.  The fact that he decries 'white Americans' for having a clear issue with politicizing everything in day to day life AND decrying violence, destruction and chaos in the streets are BAD THINGS highlights his complete lack of intellect.

He exemplifies the phrase that a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Colon K does not " have great respect for men and women who fought for this country. I have family, I have friends who have gone and fought for this country. They fight for freedom. They fight for the people, and they fight for liberty and justice.”

He's a sub-par athlete who can't perform under pressure and is a flagrant opportunist who sought to bolster his viability as a professional athlete by making himself a celebrity for racial equality so that him getting cut would be less likely without racism being thrown into the mix, and heaven knows that hurling the racism card down in any context in America is a surefire way to win your argument without having any legs to stand on.
