It was a stupid point.

He is not just another guy, he is the President of the United States of America.

Trump specifically made fun of Biden and media people for wearing the mask too often, but he himself could perhaps have avoided infection if he was more deligent about keeping the distance and insisting that people around him wear masks. He was always sloppy on this and surprise, surprise one day wasn't as lucky for his circle as all the days before.

🥱

Fake outrage duly noted.

So there are people here that actually straight up tell you they want certain Democrats dead, which is about 5 levels of hate above what I've ever said about Trump.

Let's see what words you have for them.

Let's see if you've got even an ounce of consistency to your little morally offended act.

One of the reports says that Trump was taken to Walter Reed to get an antibody treatment regimen.

What if a leftist’s blood’s harvested antibodies actually helps Trump? They’ll be so upset.

Tucker Carlson just made a great point. All these ghoulish leftist dancing on Trumps illness as if he deserved it because he was careless, must also now believe everyone who contracted this are at fault.

Leftist are morons.

I agree that saying he deserved it is distasteful, though I certainly get the sentiment.

But Trump had almost unlimited tests available to test people coming into contact with him and nearly unlimited resources to have other protective measures put in place.  His situation is NOT comparable to that of the average person.

Trump given Remdesivir as treatment for COVID-19 infection

By Brett Samuels - 10/02/20 11:42 PM EDT

Excerpt:

President Trump was given a dose of Remdesivir at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday as White House doctors recommended the antiviral drug to treat his COVID-19 infection.

White House physician Sean Conley said in a memo released by the press office that Trump did not require supplemental oxygen as of late Friday, but that doctors opted to initiate Remdesivir therapy.

"This afternoon, in consultation with specialists from Walter Reed and Johns Hopkins University, I recommended movement of the President up to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for further monitoring," Conley wrote. "This evening I am happy to report that the President is doing very well. He is not requiring any supplemental oxygen, but in consultation with specialists we have elected to initiate Remdesivir therapy. He has completed his first dose and is resting comfortably."

The use of Remdesivir means Trump is now on multiple therapeutics to treat his infection. Conley said earlier in the day that the president was given an experimental antibody injection developed by Regeneron. He is also taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and aspirin.

I’ve already figured all of that out ahead of time.... if I got sick, I’d take most/much of that, plus vitamin C, likely as an IV dose (there’s a wellness office run by an MD near us that does this as “Meyer’s” cocktail).

Point being, its good to hear that the president is getting very similar treatment that I would seek if I was positive. I would spend a few hundred bucks to do that. It’s all available (except maybe for the antibody treatment).

This news is downright disheartening.  It's been seven months of this b.s virus and it's still so virulent?  And millions of people are supposed to wait on long lines and touch common surfaces to vote in four weeks?  Seems kinda surreal to me.  At the very least, no more of those vile debates, and hopefully the President will  get reelected based on his record of achievement.  It's more than enough, more than anyone before him.

Pm me if ever in St. Louis. I’ll take you out for a beer...if we can find a place that’s still open. 👍

I’m wearing the mask, plastic gloves, and have hand sanitizer to vote.

Chris Christie has it now. I read earlier that he helped with Trumps debate preparation, where no one was taking precautions.

The bolded part is an absolute lie.  Nobody comes into contact with the President without being tested.  Every situation involving the President has been signed off by the Operations Team.  Precautions are made every second of every day.

There isn’t a 100% failsafe to protect this virus except for to have everyone in the world stay put in their homes for 14 days.  Beyond that, ANYONE can get it no matter what you do.  Your so-called “precautions” - of social distancing, mask wearing, etc, only help to try to limit the spread but are no guarantee against transmission.

I think the greatest lesson to be had from the President getting the virus is to go out and live your life because you can’t 100% protect yourself.  Even if you catch it, you have a roughly 99% chance of being just fine.

So you weren’t one of the folks vilifying Fauci for being skeptical of the snake oil cures being touted from all over the internet and even the WH. That’s good.

You didn't say anything specifying masks in your post which LeansToTheRight responded to. What you said was that "no one was taking precautions". Period. That means NO precautions of ANY sort were being taken by ANYBODY, period. And LTTR was correct when he said it was a lie, because it WAS a lie. Just because one specific "precaution" wasn't taking place, by no stretch of the imagination does that somehow suggest NO precautions were taking place.

All sitting in the same room, prepping for a debate, without masks on is shunning precautions.

See the "s" on the end of the word you're using: "precautions"? It's the same word you used originally too, in the post LTTR responded to. Well as any schoolkid understands, that "s" means multiple precautions; More than one. When you say "no one was taking precautions" it means no one was taking ANY precautions of ANY sort, and it's a flat-out lie. And trying to justify it afterwards by referring to one single precaution just doesn't work.

Yes, thank you - That's exactly what I said, and exactly what I meant. No precautions means no precautions and therefore your assertion was a lie. And trying to support the lie by producing one single precaution doesn't change the fact that it was a lie.
