Likely, but in a few weeks it will be Thanksgiving break. Maybe not so happily for their older relatives.

It's the same story with the seasonal flu every year. 62,000 died last season WITH a vaccine. I don't remember hearing about anyone resigning over it.

Yep, it’s called herd immunity. Anyone who thinks masks, social distancing and lockdowns will stop the virus are dreaming. Perhaps if we stopped doing what clearly isn’t working and took another look at actual human biology and immunology, we might find a better strategy. There is a word for doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. In my world, we will continue to work, see our families and friends, and carry on with our lives, including a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Get busy living, or get busy dying. Your choice.

Leftists don't want herd immunity. If (when) President Trump wins in November, they'll drag the lockdowns and mask nonsense out as long as possible.  If Biden wins (as if), covid will suddenly begin dying out very quickly.

It’s popular to circulate the “200,000 excess deaths” chart for 2020, but there are questions that haven’t been answered. For example, I think the death RATE is almost constant right now, but population is growing at 1%. So you’d expect 1% more deaths too, perhaps. There are 3 million deaths annually, so maybe 30,000 of the excess is actually not excess. Maybe a certain percentage of the remaining 170,000 had co-morbidities that were severe enough that Covid hastened their demise only marginally. Maybe that’s another 30-40,000. Are flu deaths lower this year? If so, then maybe some Covid deaths displaced flu deaths. A swap of causes, essentially. And so on.

What if we end up 2020 with 100,000 people truly dead from covid. Deaths that didn’t have to happen if not for China. Still, whatever the cause and blame, it’s more than fair to ask whether saving those 100,000 was worth the loss of the economy for 330,000,000. And if we don’t agree to equate life to dollars, how many lives were lost among the 330,000,000 forced into lockdowns and out of jobs and schools? Because of heart failures, undiagnosed cancers, etc etc.

People need to step up and be responsible for themselves and their families and the government must not stop people with lockdowns.

I can't think of any virus that's been politicized as much as covid-19. Democrats are clearly exaggerating the severity of it in an effort to kill Trump's successful economy. Hard to believe that an American political party would intentionally damage the economy in an effort to win the Presidency, but that's what they're doing.
