Up is down, down is up in the crazy town called the rightwing politics...and it's getting crazier and crazier by the day, I swear.

Chis Christie, after 7 days in ICU is telling you IM LUCKY TO BE ALIVE! I GOT COMPLACENT AND PAID THE PRICE! FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES AND WEAR THE MASK FOR GOD"S SAKE!

And what do righties read? Meh, he was just hanging out in the hospital, just in case, no big deal.

This is a perfect illustration of the great damage Trump is doing by undermining his CDC, by politicizing, misinforming and taking the other side of sound public messaging and policy during this pandemic.

Truly.   Trump says if Biden is elected, he'll listed to scientists

I'll take that as a concession that you did in fact completely made it up. Just like that, without any shame or remorse.

Keep rolling around in that dirt.

Biden will listen to the medical "experts" at Twitter and Facebook who are deleting posts they don't agree with.

(one of many examples)

Wow unbelivable.

Kid-like behavior is not being able to understand that in this life some things are reasonably true even if we can't exactly estimate the magnitude of the effect. And you are doing this while putting up insinuation that I'm the one being child like here.

It is REASONABLE to say that our POTUS constantly spreading Covid-19 misinformation, downplaying the pandemic, politicizing preventative guidelines and spreading magical thinking directly contrary to his health experts results in more people dying from preventable infections, even if we can't exactly say how many.

The only way you can't understand the simple concept that President's leadership matters is if you DON'T WANT TO understand it when it comes to this President and this issue. It doesn't jive with what you would like to belive and so you just respond with a hard brain shutdown as you deny the obvious.

Side note - 5/4 isn't a difficult time. Check out "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck, that's in 5/4 time.

OK, back to the regularly-scheduled topic.

Thats true, that many infections and deaths is very remarkable compared to other developed countries, though I would call it the opposite of an acomplishment.

Also, Holst's "The Planets." The movement Mars is in 5/4. And in Stravinsky's "The Rite Of Spring" there's one 11/4 movement.

So you're saying the deaths are Trump's fault? Please connect the dots for us. The way I remember it, the DEMOCRATS were criticizing Trump's travel restrictions. On top of that, The World Health Organization, the CDC, and Fauci himself were saying as late as March that masks were not necessary. Dr. Birx predicted up to 200,000 U.S. coronavirus deaths 'if we do things almost perfectly'. Looks like her prediction wasn't that far off. Meanwhile, Biden is coughing into his hand while claiming that he can stop covid.

Agreed. Also, time signature alone tells nothing of difficulty of the piece, right? As usual, details are needed. So that image is just a dumb analogy.

What you and your masters are trying to do is obvious. We are the common sensical and reasonable ones.

I’ll take the parallel to global warming. Your side would want to bring economies to a screeching halt to stop potential global warming. There would be hunger and famine and fights and wars would break out. The whole world would go into chaos. Scores of people would die. But at least they wouldn’t die from global warming - success!!!

That’s your plan for covid as well. Lockdowns that cause huge recessions and funding from the future, causing government takeovers everywhere (socialism). And then, as things start to calm down on covid, there’ll be hunger and famine and wars and strife. Scores of people will die - But not from covid!!! Success!!

You people are disgusting.

Where to even begin answering such ignorant question?

His admitted public lies about Covid-19 risks, while he clearly knew even back in January that this thing is about 5 times more deadly than a bad seasonal influenza?

His constant false insistance that the virus infection is contained and this virus will vanish any day now?

Him constantly talking crap about mask wearing and otherwise undermining and failing to suppport CDC guidelines?

His talking about how wonderful it would be go pack churches for Easter?

Him constantly claiming that we have covid-19 cures, while talking about experimental treatments down to injection of disinfectants.

His administration now embracing fringe herd immunity theories pushed by some radiologist on FOX.

Him talking about how he feels better than ever after having been hospitalized for Covid-19 and how people don't need to be afraid?

I mean the this list is so long I could be typing it up untill tommrow. What lala land did you reside in for the entirety of year 2020?

The leftist media sure didn't talk much about The World Health Organization's recent comments regarding lockdowns.

WHO official urges world leaders to stop using lockdowns as primary virus control method

by Andrew Mark Miller, Social Media Producer  | October 10, 2020 Washington Examiner

The World Health Organization’s special envoy on COVID-19 urged world leaders this week to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method.”

“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Dr. David Nabarro said to The Spectator’s Andrew Neil. “The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”

Nabarro went on to point out several of the negative consequences lockdowns have caused across the world, including devastating tourism industries and increased hunger and poverty.

"Just look at what’s happened to the tourism industry in the Caribbean, for example, or in the Pacific because people aren’t taking their holidays,” he said. “Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. ... Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.”

Earlier this week, thousands of medical health experts signed their names to a petition calling for the end of coronavirus lockdowns, citing the “irreparable damage” they’ve caused.

How did he "know" that?

In March the World Health Organization said "First, COVID-19 does not transmit as efficiently as influenza, from the data we have so far. With influenza, people who are infected but not yet sick are major drivers of transmission, which does not appear to be the case for COVID-19."

Is Trump some kind of medical genius who knew more than The World Health Organization months before they did?

Sound health expert advisory. DUH.

Woodward and Trump conversation:

Woodward: And so, what was President Xi saying yesterday?

Trump: Oh, we were talking mostly about the virus. And I think he’s going to have it in good shape, but you know, it’s a very tricky situation. It’s –

Woodward: Indeed.

Trump: It goes through air, Bob. That’s always tougher than the touch. You know, the touch, you don’t have to touch things. Right? But the air, you just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed. And so, that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than your – you know, your, even your strenuous flus. You know, people don’t realize, we lose 25,000, 30,000 people a year here. Who would ever think that, right?

Woodward: I know. It’s much forgotten.

Trump: Pretty amazing. And then I say, well, is that the same thing-

Woodward: What are you able to do for-

Trump: This is more deadly. This is five per- you know, this is five percent versus one percent and less than one percent. You know? So, this is deadly stuff.

And the this same guy was still bullsh*tting the public almost two months later, urging premature re-openings like those that ended up in huge infection rates in palce like Florida:

Trump, March 24: I brought some numbers here. We lose thousands and thousands of people a year to the flu. We don’t turn the country off, I mean every year. Now when I heard the number — you know, we average 37,000 people a year. Can you believe that? And actually this year we’re having a bad flu season. But we lose thousands of people a year to the flu. We never turn the country off. We lose much more than that to automobile accidents. We didn’t call up the automobile companies, say, “Stop making cars. We don’t want any cars anymore.” We have to get back to work.

Well Anton's "points" are the same horsesh*t the Dems put out on a daily basis. If he could think for himself he'd know he's just spewing nonsense. But he can't, so he doesn't.

Point by point rebuttal:

1) it’s not 5x more deadly. Maybe 2x more. Jury is out on it still.

2) Trump is not insisting that the virus will vanish any day now. He’s insisting that we will have a vaccine soon (Q1 21) and the therapeutics are getting way better.

3) It would have been nice to be at church on Easter. That’s true - what was bad about that wish? It didn’t come true at all.

4) He didn’t recommend injection of disinfectants any more than he’s pro white or any other supremacy. He’s touting new vaccines and therapeutics. For a good reason too.

5) Herd immunity isn’t a fringe theory. It’s well-known. The question is, will a vaccine’s arrival beat her immunity arrival? Probably, but her immunity will help.

There you go. So far your points are oh for 5.
