Conservatives are officially DONE with rhino’s.

They pretty much started sealing their fate in 2016, but with this years election, many GOP leaders have officially demolished their careers.

People like Mitt Romney, Brian Kemp and Ben Sasse have really proven themselves to be nothing more than political talking heads.

For example you have Ben Sasse actually pushing back on Trump’s investigation into the election.

Then there’s Romney, who not so surprisingly is calling for Americans to just move on and accept Biden as their president.

From CNN

Republican Sen. Mitt Romney on Sunday called for the country to “get behind” President-elect Joe Biden and said he has seen no evidence of widespread voter fraud, even as President Donald Trump has pushed for election-related lawsuits and refused to concede the election.

“I think we get behind the new president, unless for some reason that’s overturned, we get behind the new president and wish him the very best,” Romney, who was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”

Oh but the day of reckoning for these traitors is coming.

I can’t wait to see Mitt get his due. What an arrogant statement. “They haven’t filed anything in a court of law.” Yeah Mitt, because they needed time to prep their cases! They’re starting the filings as I type this you jerk. Once they DO file, will you arrogant amoeba tweet your apology?

Strange.....I didn't see the name of any MEGA donors in the article.

By all means, every single member of congress should have a challenge in the primaries.  When it comes down to the general election, republicans need to realize that the United States is huge and a republican from Texas isn't going to have the exact same beliefs as a republican from a New England.

If we demand they all be lockstep in their beliefs, we will never increase the numbers and suppress democrat majorities.

You miss  the whole point. The MAGA movement encompasses the entire country. The goal should be to bring more into the fold and not to water down principals in order to bring in weak sisters. Susan Collins is not the future of the pre-Trump party. Lots of house cleaning yet to be done.

Indeed. Several thoughts on this:

1. If we throw out every Republican who has ever been called a 'Rino', then the ones who are left could likely all fit comfortably on the seat of a unicycle. If EVEN that.

2. Because this strategy sure worked so well in '12 when we got rid of people like Richard Lugar (R ) in the primary only to see their seats go to people like Joe Donnelly (D ) in the general?

3. Has anyone considered that the Republicans who win are the Republicans who CAN win?  Yes, even the Susan Collinses and Lisa Murkowskis of the party, without BOTH of whom there wouldn't right now be even a CHANCE of keeping the Senate.

4. Perhaps Wayne Dupree, having a fair amount of name recognition, could pick his favorite 'Rino' and run against them in the next primary and show us all how it's done?

I miss the point?

MAGA isn't winning in Maine.  Joe Biden won by over 70,000 votes.....yet Susan Collins won.

If Susan Collins loses to a democrat, then the majority in the senate potentially swings to the democrats and the Democrat VP will be the deciding vote on issues before the senate.

Having watched Collins over the years I'm convinced she's a brilliant politician -- I've never seen anyone walk both sides of the street at the same time as masterfully as she does.

Her policy stances are like jelly, and she appears to be on all sides of an argument. Seems to me a majority of Maine voters like squishy . . .

Using this year's presidential numbers is pointless until and if it can be revealed just what in the hell went on. Using individual house and senate races to make sweeping conclusions is also useless.  There are more than 70 million proven MAGA Republicans with the highest minority numbers since reconstruction. Taken as a group the so called toss up house races were won by unabashed MAGA candidates.

That is the path to the future for Conservatives and I will admit we'll have to drag some jelly along with us.

No one gets thrown out of the party, they are challenged in a primary.

Yes you sometimes lose but you also can get a Josh Hawley. Politics is risky.

Does the current make up of the senate with Collins and Murkowski mean they will never be replaced ?

Perhaps Burgess Owens will pick a 'Rino" by the name of Romney to run against ?

Some people are amazing in the outdated myopic outlook.

Aw, C'mon Coach. SURELY you understand what former SecDef Donald Rumsfeld was saying when he said:

“You go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.”

I have no illusions; the WAR analogy IS apt. And even if Collins and Murkowskis are the "sad sacks",  I still want them on our side. For now.

Personally, I would trade a Susan Collins (R ) for a Joe Manchin (D ) any day of the week and twice on Sunday. But it's not my call.

Personally Trump is the kind of guy that can create a third party. MAGA party would pull from both Dem's and Rep's and they can go back to be the Democrat Republican's again and be the socialists they really are.

Have you changed your registration to democrat yet?

In regards to the last sentence of your 2nd paragraph, it would be well taken in normal times.  These are not normal times. I had hoped that you'd realized that.  There's a lot more at stake at the moment.

"Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He Dutch loved Big Brother."

I see what you're saying, but....

I do believe that RINOs and yourself continue to play by the Marquisse de Queensbury's rules while the Left marches in lock-step, dismantling this nation. It would seem that you're content to win the battle while losing the war.  We need a united front to undo what The Left has constructed over the past 10 years.

That said, I recognize that Maine isn't Alabama, isn't Idaho.  Maine also isn't Nebraska.  In comfortably red states RINOs should be replaced ASAP, such as NE, AK.  In places like ME, we need to work with what we've got at the moment.
